Save your cash for something better

This sucker is the hardest thing to fly that I've encountered, and I've flown MANY. The "auto landing" feature essentially just drops it out of the sky without warning, which is no way to land in my opinion, and you end up with a yard sale of drone parts for your attempt. This is all assuming you can get the trim right to stop the drifting. Even on sale I regretted buying it so for 80$ I'd say go get a couple of Syma X5C's and drone-joust as opposed to frustrating yourself with this sad disappointment.

The last set of batteries you'll ever need

I had low expectations given the dismal performance of other rechargeable batteries. We all know the drawbacks, they're normally not 1.5v but 1.2v, they have lower capacity, and after a few years they might even explode (really, I've had almost every one of a particular brand rupture violently after about 2 years of usage with the manufactures charger, no less!) But these babies right here, these are what we all hoped we were getting when rechargeables first went on the market. They're 1.5v, and they're 1.5v until it is empty. No slow fade from your flashlight here, though it can be a surprise when it suddenly goes out. They're good capacity as well, so I've only experienced that sudden darkness once since using them exclusively for my flashlights and I work only at night if that says anything. I save the best for last, though, as it's their unique charging method that sets them apart, you pull the cap off, secure it to the battery via the magnet that's already in the cap, and plug it in to any standard USB port. The battery lights up red when charging and green when done, can't get any simpler than that, and the caps fit very snugly so you have no concerns over them coming off and getting lost. These are by far the best rechargeable batteries I've ever owned and I've tried them all, they're lithium based as well so they don't have a memory. They do get a tad warm after extended use but nothing concerning, and they'll save you a mint in normal batteries!

Not a bad smartwatch if you ditch Tizen

The Gear 2 Neo isn't a bad watch for the price point, especially if one considers the added bonus of a built-in IR blaster; but you won't find any Wi-Fi capabilities or a compass. Personally, I don't mind the loss of Wi-Fi simply because it's rare that I'm ever far enough from my phone to disrupt the Bluetooth connection, and I never get tired of shutting off TV's in secret. At the time I purchased my Gear 2 Neo, I researched it heavily and opted for it based solely on the fact that it was on sale and that there was an active effort to port Android Wear to the watch to replace Samsung's resource intense Tizen. I have noted that there are several reports of the plastic retainers for the metal pin that attaches the watch band to the watch itself breaking under even light stress, and I can say that after having worn the Gear 2 Neo every day for the last couple of months and getting it snagged more than once during a quick movement, the kind that leave you wondering how it's still on your wrist that is, that I haven't even noticed any cracks developing yet so perhaps the flaw was corrected or maybe I'm just lucky. The conversion is easy to perform and as of this review pretty much all of the bugs have been ironed out, leaving a very stable end result that I am glad I chose to experience. All in all, it's a good place to start if you're just getting into smart watches and would like to experience the difference between Tizen and Android Wear prior to getting into the more expensive range of watches.

More hues than Philips Hue's

Since purchasing the LIFX bulb, I found that one is never enough and wanted to fill the rest of my apartment with color as well. Following that thought, I purchased a Philips Hue starter kit and found that I'd made a huge mistake, as the Hue lights are incapable of producing either green and most shades of blue. If you're thinking that you can get more for your money with a different brand, think again. LIFX is the only smart bulb I've found that works reliably, produces nearly any color imaginable (I've actually managed to produce grey, no joke), and doesn't require any additional hardware or an active internet connection to control it from your home. Yeah, it's half the price of the Hue starter kits for a 3rd of the bulb, but the fact that it is far brighter and more vibrant and can produce real green and blue more than make up for the 3rd bulb you'd be giving up for 2 of these. Don't make the same mistake I did, pass on Philips Hue and choose the smarter bulb.

Is this model compatible with the Galaxy Note 4?
Yes, it is. My wife has a Note 4 and I have tested it to get an idea of the performance difference having the watch connected causes between the Note 3, which I have, and Note 4.
It should also be noted that there is a project centered around porting Android Wear to the Gear 2 Neo to replace Tizen, which makes it compatible with a vast majority of Android devices as well as newer iPhones. Converting the watch to Android Wear is a relatively painless process and vastly improves performance as well as battery life and increases the number of apps available to run on the watch considerably.

Can you plug in headphones to this device?
No, there is no headphone or auxiliary output present on the watch. The only method of interfacing with it is through the cradle that snaps onto the back of the watch housing to allow for a Micro-USB cable to connect it for charging or debugging.
