It is okay for less than a mile or so. If you are an outdoorsman in vast open area with little are no obstacles. I believe that they would function well. However, for city use, they are very limited and subject to a great amount of interference.

Does these come with a clip on the back?
Yes it does, however, the clip is subject to break.
