I've used it to make a couple batches of pea soup (to blend ingredients after cooking). I made the first batch very smooth, and chose to make the 2nd batch with a bit more texture - worked for both.
I was surprised that the on button doesn't lock down. When I read the instructions, it says to hold the On button down for no longer than 50 seconds. Perhaps the tiny motor could burn out.
Make sure you keep it fully immersed, because it will splatter!

What's great about it: lightweight & relatively easy to use
What's not so great: only operates in short bursts (per instructions & button must be held down), blades not easy to clean
I would recommend this to a friend!
