This movie has a very real feel to it - focusing on a subject true-to-life: Vengence. A woman and her fiance get attacked in Central Park while walking their dog, he dies, she turns into a bit of a crazy after recovering. At first, you think she's just gonna go after those who attacked her, but it turns out you'd be wrong. Excellent acting from both Jodie Foster and Terrence Howard as the cop on her trail. Check it out.

Alpha Dog (based on a true story) is a good Monday night movie. Just starting your week, you don't want to think to much about anything, and this movie gives you that opportunity, but not in a bad way. It's a pretty simple plot, involving some interesting characters and senarios. Guy owes drug dealer money, can't pay him, says he'll kill him, drug dealer pseudo-kidnaps deadbeat's younger brother. Ends up showing the kid the time of his life, before realizing the cops have been informed and the kid becomes a liability. Good performances from Emile Hirsch and Justin Timberlake, and Ben Foster plays a great addict. Worth checking out.
This movie started Adam Sandler's decent into the mega-cheesy love-story movies he's been doing for a while now, but it's still great. Growing up in the '80's, it always brings back fond memories, especially the music, which I still enjoy. The supporting characters, as always, are a riot, and the plot is generally funny. Even the super-cheese airplane-guitar song stiff wasn't too bad, and I can still watch it after so many years and find new hilarious scenes. A great buy, plus now it's been released with DTS sound, which always enhances any movie! Cheers!
What's great about it: Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore
Having never heard of this movie before it was released on DVD, I took a chance, and boy, did it pay off! As far as action movies go, it was great - lots of ridiculous senarios and thousands of rounds of ammo being shot in every direction. But this movie has got some GREAT one-liners from Clive Owen AND Paul Giamatti. Plus, delivering a baby while 50 guys are trying to kill you is pretty cool. Check it out!
What's great about it: Shooting, violence, one-liners galore
