I spent a lot of time looking for a fitness tracker this second time. I had a few important items that were important to me: 1. Accurate Heart Rate 2. Good software 3. GPS 4. Not huge
My research brought me to Garmin's Forerunner 35 and fēnix series 5. The fēnix has a substantially more complete set of tools, but it's at least 3 times the cost. So I went to Best Buy and got the Forerunner 35.
I have other tools to measure different parts that this does and I can tell you it is pretty darn accurate. HR is spot on most of the time. Distance tracking while cycling is within 1/10% or better. The software is top notch and inclusive. A little bit of both the web and app to get everything, but I like each for their own use.
I like that I don't need my phone to get all the capabilities, it synchs with my computer whenever I'm close enough. I have not, nor will I try the phone app.
Before this I owned a higher end Fitbit and pretty much the product and the software is a toy compared to the Garmin. This is comfortable to wear all day and night. The strap does not bind, it is much more flexible than the Fitbit, and it does not slide down my wrist when riding hard on the bike. I would have to reset the Fitbit 10-20 times a ride. The Garmin, maybe once or twice, if at all.
My photo shows the Garmin next to a small man's watch on my wrist. I don't have large wrists, and as such I didn't want a large fitness band.
It's got good battery life, extremely readable screen, and intuitive controls. Once you get it, it's easy to use.

First off I would enthusiastically recommend this receiver.
The MusicCast system provides one very easy multi-room configurations imaginable. Paired with the simple to use app for your phone or tablet, you can control your whole system with it. I added the AV Controller app as well so I can control sound details for the watching of movies in the theater section of our house.
My wife loves it! She's actually using the system more than I am at this point. Today she was out in our pool area and needed my help, I went out and heard music playing. I was surprised. She just dialed it up on Pandora and was rockin' while she did her chores outside.
It's like having Automatic Transmission for your car, makes it that easy to "drive" your home audio.
Most people talk about the home theater section, that is awesome. I wanted to focus on the MusicCast.
The one significant disappointment is the inability to use the 2nd zone of hdmi separately from the 2nd zone of audio. At least I was unable to configure the system to send an image to my second tv while still retaining the output to that zone to the wired speakers. If I'm wrong, I'd appreciate knowing. It looked like a great feature to me.

This TV has a good picture, good sound, and lots of features.
The only downside is you can't get it to default to the cable box (STB) when it starts. Every time you start it up, you have to select the STB, then you can watch TV.
The reason this is a drawback is that if you are using a remote from the STB company, that means telling it to use TV controls, then use STB controls otherwise.
We bought this for our guest room and it would have been nice if it was press one button and use it, like every other TV we've owned. It is for this reason I would not recommend this TV. It otherwise would get 5 stars.

Is the watch waterproof
It is water resistant. They say that you should not press the buttons while in the water. I've gone in the pool and shower with it, no issues. I would not dive with it as it is only 5ATM water resistant.

Does this watch connect to a PC and how?
It connects through Bluetooth. It's very easy to set up and synch. There is also a four pin power and synch cable that comes with it. That is used to update software and charge the watch. It also will synch through that cable.

Can you connect a heart rate strap to this?
Yes, there is an option to get a HR strap. HR is pretty good through the wrist, but a strap does make it more accurate.

I want to track swimming, does this forerunner do that or should I pick another model?
It does track your efforts while swimming, but heart rate gets funky in water. There is no specific task on the watch to pick for swimming. It is water resistant, so you can swim in it.

How's durable is the screen?
The screen is glass, so it's pretty durable. You can also get inexpensive protectors for it if you do rough work or play that may more likely damage the screen.
