I use this in an tool-less external enclosure for a fast USB 3.0 drive to hold large media files when working on the road. SSDs are much more resistant to shock and movement so are better suited for travel and makes for faster data transfer if needed.

This ground loop isolator integrates into the OEM system of your vehicle to eliminate ground loops for quality audio reproduction.
Does this device need power? I can't see the specs to see the power voltage and how to connect.
There's no external power source. It connects in-line and has a filter loop inside that gets rid of the ground loop. It's old school and works great. When you're sound source and your amplifier are separate but on the same power connection you can get ground loops through analog connections without having a bad ground. This fixes it.

i submitted a question asking why My Fitbit needs to be charged daily, I already had it replaced.The answers submitted said to charge daily. This defeats the purpose of wearing daily. It stays fully charged for 12 hours and then says medium battery Then next twelve hours goes to low battery.
Really it's all about how much of the features you use and how often it syncs. I have almost all the features running except text and call notification and I get 2 days between charges. If you disable all the syncing and the resting heart rate monitor you will get 4+ days with it. Advertising 5 days battery life is puffery at it's best. If it sat on a manikin's wrist with no bluetooth on you might get to 5 days. One day seems pretty extreme though. I charge every two days whether it needs it or not because the battery use varies based upon activity.

what is 2.5 inch?
is that the actual disc size? or the housing that contains the disc. my housing measures 2.75. not sure the disc size. the description on the housing doesnt state the size. as well doesnt state sata or ata. does state HDD.
It's the housing. It accepts standard SATA (serial ATA) 2.5" drives - either SSD or spinning. The enclosure is slightly wider than the drive so it slides in easily.

How many GB of storage does the device have?
This is an empty enclosure and you fit any standard 2.5" hard drive or SSD into it. It comes with the USB cable and the SATA adapter (in the front pannel) to connect the drive to your system. It's bus powered so you don't need any power cord.

My hard drive doesn't slide into the enclosure easily. Should I return my product?
I bought this product for my Macbook Pro hard drive, and I can't get the hard drive into the enclosure easily. I don't want to force it. The peg on the side of my hard drive runs into the rib on the inside of the enclosure, and it won't slide easily in. This is only the case on one side of the enclosure. Is my enclosure defective, and should I return it to the store?
Sometimes laptop drives still have the factory spacers on the sides to fit into the assembly. You should be able to unscrew them from your old drive (2 screws each side) and then it should fit. It will slide in easily with a small bit of open space on each side if it's correct.
