Ghostface Killah has always been the most consistent member of the Wu-Tang Clan and 36 Seasons is further proof. The album is helped by the additions of AZ and Kool G Rap.

2014 Forest Hills Drive shows a more serious side of J Cole. The songs are thought provoking and not formulaic. Like past J Cole albums the production could be a little bit better. He also sings too much throughout the CD.

It's a shame that D'angelo was away for 14 years but this album was worth the wait. What makes Black Messiah different from his previous albums Brown Sugar and Voodoo is that it's more up beat. The album is funky and reminiscent of Sly Stone, Prince, and Stevie Wonder. Although the best track on the CD is a love song called Really Love. Black Messiah is truly amazing and a shot in the arm for R&B.

PRhyme is a much needed project for rap music in 2014. There are no attempts to crossover or be heard on the radio on this album. It's just pure beats and rhymes from one of the best lyricists and arguably the greatest producer in the history of rap music. A couple of the songs are just OK but most of them are great. The CD is also too short with just 9 songs.

This album has its bright spots but overall the chemistry among the group members is not there. You can tell that GZA, Raekwon, and Ghostface were hardly interested or around during the making of the project. The C-Team members U-God, Masta Killa, and Inspectah Deck all brought their A-game. Method Man is great as usual but the sub par production doesn't bring out the best in him. The album signifies that the group members are in their mid-40s so the music has an adult contemporary vibe. It's also a case of RZA trying to show off the musician he's become. A Better Tomorrow has some good stuff and some forgettable stuff. I believe that Wu-Tang is best over sampled beats, not live instrumentation. This album is mostly live instrumentation.
Yeezus is neck and neck with 808s & Heartbreak as Kanye West's worst album, but it still has some good songs on it. The CD is short and to the point. The music is more like dance music than anything Kanye has ever done. The club style music is not for everybody.
