Works just as advertised

I was a bit leery on purchasing something like this over the internet, but I was pleasantly surprised. I have purchased a system in the past and then needed another 100 plus bucks in parts to make it work. With this interface, the only thing I needed was a small connector harness that cost 14.00. The system works great and now on cold winter mornings I have a nice warm car....and no frost on the windshield. Just remember to turn it all on before you leave the car the night before.

My only complaint is that there is a lot extra to purchase and pay for to have it installed. The advertised price included installation. However that is for a very basic much older car. Newer cars require extra relays and wiring which drives up the price of the install to over 300.00. That being said this unit installed is the same price as a discount auto sound store down the street. Someone needs to inform the sales staff that there is more to purchase than just the unit. I was assured by the salesperson that all I needed to buy was the unit. I did know better though so I was not shocked.
All in all a good reliable unit....so far.

Better than previous model

I bought this unit to replace another Magellan unit that kept blowing fuses. The upgrades to features and functions are very welcome. The traffic warnings, traffic cameras work well. Another nice feature is the speed limit sign that glows when you are 5 miles over the limit. I've compared it to other units, Garmen and Tom Tom and they don't have all the features rolled into one unit. Their advantage for some is that they are more compact. I like the MPH indicator for driving through speed trap areas. Big help.
