nice Entry Level but Echo close

Its a very nice speaker for entry level. The lack of line in on anything except the Play:5 is a bummer as this cannot be integrated with an Amazon Tap. I also have an Amazon Echo and although the sound quality of the Sonos is nicer, the echo can start songs using voice control as well as the app. If you don't mind having to pull out your phone every time you want to stop/start/etc, this is a good option.

Good but not the best

I like that the Nest is widely supported, but the lack of remote room sensors like the Ecobee is a huge bummer. However this is a better known product, and I'm sick of pursuing features over inter-product communication. I have a robust home automation system, so my setup is much more complex than most.

Can one hub control the TVs in two different rooms?
Can a single hub control 8 different components/pieces of equipment in different rooms/installations, ie TV & DVD in livingroom and TV & DVD in the bedroom?
No, but its so cheap I think you'd want to get two. Thats what I did, makes life really easy.

What if my wifi is not working but my power is on. Will the furnace and AC still heat and or cool?
Sometimes my wifi just quits.. problem not mine but at the telephone company.. it might be down for an hour.. will I lose control of my heating or cooling or can I manually adjust what is necessary? There is not and issue with power... just wifi
I'm 99.99% sure the answer is you'll be fine. The wiring is direct, you just won't have internet connectivity. You won't freeze (or burn up) though.
