I selected this monitor mostly for photography purposes. Otherwise I would have chosen a different, less expensive monitor that didn't have to be an IPS monitor.
I have not found it to be overly bright like some reviews, and have noticed no pixel problems on the edges.
It was easy to set up and use immediately, and seems to be a good size: not too large, not too small.
I may have rated even higher if I had not felt my other computer components were possibly pulling this monitor down some.
