This replaced a dead flatbed scanner. It works well, especially the supporting software, I was able to feed 10-15 pages at a time and did a single run of over 500 pages without a single jam. The (not technical) office staff quickly adapted themselves to using the new equipment without any questions or problems. I used the printer one time after installing the ink, just to make sure it actually worked. (We use a laser printer.) The only negative I'd say would be the folks at Best Buy, who really didn't know anything helpful about any of the printers, leaving me to do my research at home (Thanks Newegg) and come back to make a purchase.

What's great about it: It scans exactly as I hoped it would.

A USB mouse will work fine with the Surface 3.

You'll have to get an external (USB) player, the tablet does not come with one.

Does Surface 3 come with Windows?
It appears that the Windows is temporarily loaded on to the unit. What does that mean?
Yes, it comes with Windows, in our case 10 Home Edition. It's not temporary or (as far as I can tell) limited in any way. It runs Office 365 just fine.

Yes, you can print, and do anything else a regular PC or laptop can do, given resource (e.g., memory) constraints.
