The Sandisk Cruzer 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive is a decent thumb drive. If used only with a USB 2.0 port it is close to perfect. The packaging on the Sandisk Cruzer says "USB 2.0 / USB 3.0 compatible" in fairly big letters. While it is true that the thumb drive can be used with either USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports, it only operates at USB 2.0 speeds with either type. If you have USB 3.0 ports or anticipate updating your computer anytime in the next few years, you can get the superior USB 3.0 performance of a Sandisk Ultra USB drive for just a few dollars more.

Excellent thumb drive. The Sandisk ultra 64GB USB 3.0 flash drive has very fast read and write speeds when used with an Acer Chromebook. Right now 64GB seems to be the optimum balance between speed and capacity. That will no doubt change as thumb drives expand beyond the current 256GB max size, but for now these are fantastic drives at a good price point when Best Buy puts them on sale. As far as I can tell there is no difference (other than color) between the Sandisk 64GB USB Type A Flash Drive - Red and the Sandisk Ultra 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive - Black.

The Acer 14 Chromebook is an excellent chrome book, but don't expect it to perform identically to a conventional laptop. It doesn't handle multiple open web pages or multitasking nearly as well as an admittedly more expensive HP Pavillion did. I really like the quicker start-up and easy reset when it glitches. Don't care for the small flash memory or its tendency to sometimes lock up when 0 seconds are left on a large download. Keyboard is full size and has a nice feel to it. Metallic case seems sturdier than most. Wish it had an SD card slot for extra on-board memory like many other models. Both of the USB slots are USB-3 though, so external hard drives are not too slow as an alternative. Be aware that they tend to not want to disconnect properly when you are done using them. I found the solution online. If you sign out, then sign back in, they will (so far) always disconnect normally by clicking the icon. I never had this problem with a windows operating system, but it is apparently not that unusual with some chrome books. Very good angles of view on HD screen. Overall seems like a good value for the price, if you are willing to adapt to the occasionally odd behavior.

This large tower-type battery backup is excellent for protecting a computer system. The LED display shows load (%), estimated run time at that load (minutes), charge (%), volts, Hz, & power use (Kw). My only complaint is that the power button is lit with a very bright blue light, which seems unnecessary. All 8 outlets provide surge protection, but only 4 provide battery backup. Be aware that this unit provides a stepped approximation to a sine wave, rather than a pure sine wave, which is important for some systems. It works fine with a Mac Pro computer, and gives 18 minutes of run time with computer, 27" monitor, modem, & graphics tablet.

very good HDTV for the price

I was very disappointed with this TV when I first set it up in my home. The default settings out of the box were horrible, and the picture looked nothing like it did in the store. But, turning off the eco setting, changing the picture mode, dialing down the contrast, and playing with other settings eventually got me to the beautiful, rich, clear picture that made this TV stand out in the store. Slim profile, clean simple lines, and swiveling stand make an attractive package. There are ample connections at the back of the TV, but be aware that the Dolby 5.1 sound carried in from your blu ray player by HDMI cables does not go out to your sound system via the Toslink optical audio out. You have to hook the blu ray player up to the sound system directly to get full Dolby 5.1 sound.
