Coffee bar is a stretch

The Ninja Coffee Bar system is an attempt to make Starbucks type of fancy coffee at home. Unfortunately, the Ninja coffee bar fails. It's an OK coffee maker but only for regular coffee. For higher end coffee, it pours a small amount and sometimes the coffee tastes blah. What makes this appealing is the built-in Frother but it is just fluff. You cannot get that Starbucks froth. I am still skeptical of the quality of Ninja/Shark products. From past experience the quality is not there. For the record, I am not a coffee drinker...ha ha. However, I do like Starbucks and LOVE Tim Hortons coffee. If I want coffee, which is rare......I will go get a cup.

It's like a swift kick to wake up WIFI

The Linksys Velop Whole-Home WIFI system is just WOW!! Whole-home wifi is a newer concept in which "nodes" are placed from top to bottom levels of the house. Typically the further away you are from a WIFI router, the less signal you get. With the Velop system there is no loss of signal because the nodes amplify the signal and create a mesh around the house. Basically the nodes relay info to each other, eliminating dead spots. Yes the Velop makes WIFI quick but what got me is how easy it is to setup. You download an app on your mobile device (IOS or DROID) and configure the nodes. Imagine having not having to remember passwords and the ability to monitor your home WIFI from anywhere. The Velop system is designed to be super user friendly. The Velop is benchmarked as THE best whole home WIFI system by independent testers. While there are less expensive solutions, Linksys is a tried and tested manufacturer of WIFI routers, networking solutions, etc. Linksys makes great quality products, which can be used in smaller businesses as well. The design of the VELOP is elegant. The nodes looks like speakers rather than networking equipment so they will fit into any decor. The nodes are clean looking with venting on top and hidden ethernet ports on the bottom. I like that Linksys recessed the ports.
Estimated guidelines for home coverage:
For a 2000 square foot home, you simply take a single Velop and place it in the center of the home. If you have an existing router, you can add a Velop and place it midway in between the router and any dead areas you have.
From 2000 to 4000 square feet, you can simply place two Velop nodes equally on either side of your home. The third unit can be placed near a dead spot to improve reception. With 6000 square foot and above homes, you’ll need to be a little more analytical with how you place the Velops. To get maximum coverage, you should start with one, then use their free utility to find the areas that have poor reception and place one there.

I was a little harsh on another Belkin product review. In all fairness Belkin makes useful products that fill the gap. The Belkin Lightning Audio + Charge Rockster is one such item. This takes over where Apple left off. However, I wish it had a traditional headphone jack so I could use higher end headphones. Bluetooth headphones and lightning headphones sometimes do not cut it. There is no interference in sound. If you use battery intensive apps, this is a great solution to charge and go. Some other reviewers have mentioned that you cannot use the external speaker while using this item. That is not a HUGE deal breaker for me. Is the product good quality? Time will tell.

Belkin has been aggressive in making and marketing Apple friendly products. At $99 this is a pretty expensive battery charger and it better be useful. I don't like the idea of charging an equally expensive iWatch and your phone at the same time. I am concerned about damage to the watch more than anything else. Let's get back to price...you can get a better more powerful charging unit with additional USB ports at a lower cost. All of that aside and in all fairness, the Belkin product looks elegant and can make it easier for people on the go. It is a pain carrying multiple chargers around, I have left them in hotels or peoples houses. The unit charges the watch fairly quickly and the USB side can be used with iPhone or Android phones. So if you have an Android, you are not out of luck.

In an effort to cut the cord, I picked up the Fire Stick. Love it! It has all of the content loaded up, AMZ Prime, Netflix, etc. You can also add something "special" to open up a whole 'nother world!
