Ok, yet another one of my favorites lenses. I guess Canon lenses are like sports cars, each one is unique and I can't say a bad thing about the ones I own except maybe I did not NEED one of them (not this one though). This is a peach of a lens. You will have excellent portraits with this but not only that, some really great pictures of some interesting objects as well.

Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard Lens: This Canon 50mm lens has an unusually large maximum aperture so you can get detailed pictures even in low light without needing a flash. It's excellent for basic portraits and scenic shots, especially at night.

One of My Favorite Canon Lenses

Every now and then I bring out all of the Canon lenses and just randomly shoot a bunch of shots with each of them and then review the pictures without ever touching them up. This happens to be one of my favorite lenses and I know this because I always have so many more pictures with this lens than a couple of the others I just had to have, which I also like too. I have to say, there is only one Canon lens I probably didn't need and it is the Fisheye lens. Cool lens but I still have two-three pretty expensive lenses on my wish list I would rather have than that Fisheye one.

Pretty much I have not taken this lens off my Canon camera since I purchased it from BB. It takes awesome portraits, has very great macro qualities and right now it's all that I have been using. I bought this get up because I already have the Canon Rebel SL1 which was my first SLR from BB, still love that the most to knock around with because it’s super small and less expensive in case I damage it. I picked up the Mark III 5D from BB which kinda sits around right now because it’s brand new and it’s the biggest SLR I have, like it ALOT but bulky for day-to-day stuff for my purposes next, I saw this package on YouTube TMRTN2 Trevor Martin and Casey Neistat’s channels and both use this setup to vlog among many other cameras and GoPros they have. Anyway, I ordered this package @ BB online also with JOBY GorillaPod and had it shipped to the store along with a larger capacity SD card for going crazy with longer videos but it already does come with a decent size SD Card so you don’t need to buy a larger SD card right now. Everything is so simple to hook-up and use, the RODE mic sounds great, the camera takes great photos and videos on AUTO, no pressure. Just get a bag for it or something you already have laying around to protect it and you can bring this everywhere with you so you don’t miss out on anything. The only thing I am still kicking around is getting that RODE Deadcat artificial fur windshield because I hear it gets matted up, sheds and more importantly, not sure I even need it at this time.
