I was iffy at 1st because of the premium to get it. I'm glad I purchased it. I have my Motorola DVR box hooked up to it. The HDMI that comes with it is long enough to have a hanging tv and still have it on the 2nd shelf of your tv stand. It was compatible with " Logitech Harmony 665" to watch tv through "One Guide." I use an OLED with it.
Alien Covenant in UHD looked great.
I played Elder Scrolls Oblivion. It does look good. 6+GB update needed.
I don't personally think it makes much noise if that is a concern. I forget its on sometimes.
I think you will be impressed & would be a wonderful holiday gift. I still very much like the PS4 Pro though. Its comparing apples and oranges. I couldn't say which I like better. I own both.

1st PACKAGING IS GRADE A:)! Good job SONOS. Everything looks royal class when you open the box.
2nd there is a way to make LG Magic Remote work with the bar. SONOS has a support article on this. However I would recommend a “Logitech Harmony.” You can control from SONOS app too.
3rd update & setup was smooth.
Main reason I got this was for the “Apple Music” service support.
I tested Playbar with “Disney’s” movie “Moana.” It was absolutely incredible. Even my friend thought “Wow!!” No weird sounds. Every detail we heard.
If you bought a new tv & was struggling between all the different sound bars. I struggled between “Bose ST 300” & “LG SJ9.”I would get the SONOS. For music & movies with the sub. It’s an epic combo. Even without the sub. I still felt the bar sounded pretty good especially for music. Music on this bar is beautiful.
I’m going to hang my tv on the wall. The height of the sound bar is a little taller then most. You can see it in any Best Buy with live demos.
Be aware Trueplay is coming to iPhone 8/X soon. That was my only disappointment. That will not effect review because of how new my iPhone 8 Plus is. Hoping for it to be soon.

Yes, its a premium. The reviews weren’t kidding. The sub is amazing. The wireless is very good. No dropping off at all. No pauses. Totally in sync with bar.
You can feel the action in movies such as “Jurassic Park.”
I’m also an avid “Overwatch” player. It’s been good for that too.
The packaging for it is “GRADE A.” You know what is nice that this American company does? They include 4 felt pads for the bottom of the subwoofer Incase you have hardwood floor. I thought “Wow that’s nice.” That new smell comes out once opened. All materials are epic. It does come with a cloth. Even the quick start guides...... I wanted to fold back neatly..... as if I had collector cards or something.
The look of this sub is absolutely beautiful. It’s sturdy.
You can actually sometimes spot the vibrations inside. I find super cool :)
I tested the “Disney” movie “Moana” on both Playbar & Sub combo. Absolutely mind-blowing. Every detail from her foot touching the sand....

I chose this surveillance camera because of the good history Logitech has established. Plus, once you go into the “Apple HomeKit” world as far as I have. This is the 1st outdoor option for “Apple HomeKit.”
I still have a Logitech Harmony that glows in the dark from over 10 years ago. It works fine.
I find all the different accessories fascinating.
It has different colored status indicator ring lights. I like that a lot.
The people detector option is pretty nifty.
There is a frame holding it in place. Some of the early reviews made it seem like it was just hanging there which is not true. It is secure. I would suggest mounting at least 8ft up.
Apple HomeKit integration is why I bought it though. It adds both Motion & camera.
The ability to get a plug mount, battery, window mount(very cool), & a weather extension cable is very unique. Logitech “spared no expense.” ;)

I realize this is supposed to work with Apple TV, but does it replicate the home button of the Apple TV Siri remote? I've tried several IR remotes and none of them allow for use of the 'home button' functionality of the original apple remote.

I lose the sound at times after I mute, pause, skip or fast forward. In order to get sound again I have to change channels, then go back to my original program. This happens with live tv as,well as recorded programs. Any suggestions will be appreciated
Lora, I have a LG tv. I’ve experienced this when I purchased an Apple TV 4K & went from optical to ARC. Turn off tv. Unplug all devices. I would recommend to go to your tv’s settings. Reset tv to initial settings. If you have a media streaming box device. (“Apple TV or Roku) Hook that to HDMI 1. Rehook all devices. Reinstall apps.
This should stop that from ever happening again. You could also attempt to reset Playbar after resetting tv too.

Are you planning to add DTS support anytime soon?
“For home entertainment, DTS content is only found on physical media such as DVD, Blu-ray and Laserdisc – no video streaming services such as Netflix or Hulu support DTS. Sonos is focused on modern listeners who predominantly stream and because most physical discs encode DTS at bitrates substantially similar to Dolby Digital, we have decided to not support DTS on PLAYBASE as we don’t believe it offers a better listening experience for the majority of owners."

Is there hardware available to mount the sound bar on a shelf above my rolling TV cart that has a TV mounted on the cart...the shelf has 2 pre drilled slots for mounting or does the optional mounting brackets allow the soundbar to be mounted above TV

The optional mounting bracket for Playbar states on its website on their site that it can be mounted horizontally above or below the tv on the wall. Retails for $39.99.
I wouldn’t mount it to the shelf above the cart. I would mount horizontally above the tv via the wall.

Has anyone tried to use this for gaming? I currently have the NETGEAR - AC1200 Dual-Band Wireless-AC Range Extender and while it has improved my speed, it disconnects once every hour, on the hour for some unknown reason. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Upstairs when I do a speed test it says 359mbps. I use PS4 Pro on it. Hope this helps! I would recommend it. The range is epic. I've experienced ZERO drop of signal. Hasn't happened at all.
