Why does my timer turn itself on and off?
I have an older model of this air conditioner. The timer will turn itself on and off multiple times in a matter of minutes. If it stays on, I turn it off, but it will jump back to on. It does not do this all day, but at some point comes on and the air conditioner will go off after half an hour. I have tired everything to get it to stop. Is there anything I can do?
Sounds like a defective timer switch.Vibrations from the running machine are causing the timer to turn itself on and off randomly.

I don't see why it couldn't be used in a sleeve.
