How long with the alarm clock operate just using the battery?
Looking for an alarm clock that can operate solely on battery for awhile with dimmable screen and adjustable volume ideally with a reddish tint to the numbers.
Not 100%, but pretty sure it will not operate at all on battery... it is for back-up purposes only. IE you don't have to reset everything if you lose power or unplug it.
Personally I would suggest just finding a cheap battery operated alarm clock. I have two, both were under $15. Both use about 2xAA batteries a year if not using as a daily alarm, and about 4xAA batteries if you are using it as a primary alarm clock. The battery operated clocks are touch lit. (You have to touch the snooze bar for the clock to light up.) The alarms you would have to research. One I have has one volume and that volume is "wake the neighbors." The other one I believe has quiet (wouldn't wake me from a cat nap) and loud (might wake me from a cat nap.) So the alarms are hit and miss.

what is the difference between wired or wireless internet connection
A wired connection requires you hook up the TV with a Ethernet cable (wired) to your internet connection for the internet content, while the wireless option allows you to connect to the internet through a WiFi (wireless) connection. This TV is capable of doing either. But, you must have one of these methods available for the internet content to work. In other words, you must have internet to use the internet wired connection, and you must have WiFi access to use the WiFi ability.

I want to use this tv as my labtop monitor. I am wondering the response time of this TV?
I use it as a second monitor with my computer currently. While it obviously will not have the performance of a dedicated monitor, I find it very adequate. I have played action games with no noticeable lag (You MUST set it up in game mode or you WILL experience lag.), watch YouTube, Netflix, et.al. You will notice a bit of pixelation if you are closer than, probably, 24"-30". I am around 20"-24" and do notice, but it is unimportant in most applications I use it for.
As for your actual question. I have no idea of the actual response time. I do know that unless you are a hard core gamer, it is probably fast enough. (Seeing you are hooking it up to a laptop, I can't imagine it being a problem...other than the how close you might sit to it issue.)

Thinking that the mouse would fit me for a long duration, I used the gift card on steam, then used the mouse for a few hours, to find out that it was a bit small for me. If I go into the store and return it, will I have to return the gift card aswell?
You should only need the item you are returning.
