Average subwoofer for TV viewing

This is a good subwoofer for average TV viewing. It does add some punch to my 65" X900b Sony set, but it is hard to determine how much as the X900b's have such excellent sound. It definitely is not going to rattle windows, though, but what can you expect from a 7-7/8" 100W sub. The wireless connectivity has worked well and it is nice that the settings are totally controlled through the TV. Seeing as how I received this subwoofer free as part of a promotion, I would recommend it in similar situations.

This is an excellent TV, as XBR series Sony's have always been. The up conversion from normal 720p or 1080i signals is impressive without adding visible artifacts. This is also the best sounding flat screen you are going to find, period, and while some may not care about this, it was a factor in my purchase as I do not use my main 2 channel audio system for TV. The picture is stunning when you have a 1080p or 4k source and I do not notice any light bleeding from this set with it only having edge dimming as compared to the much more expensive x950b sets. The IR blaster even works well and the internet connected smart features are fine also. Buy this TV if your number one concern is picture quality.
