Portable bluetooth mouse

Great mouse for Surface; Bluetooth keeps your USB open, and the "fold-flat" design makes it amazingly portable. Fits in my Surface sleeve along with the charger. It is pricey, but if you want a highly portable mouse that will not tie up your USB port this is the way to go.

Greate keyboard and cover

Awesome screen cover and portable keyboard. Keys are very responsive, and the click-in attachment is beyond simple. All you have to do is line the connections up on the cover and Surface and the small magnets will click them together. The backlit keys are great and recognize as your hand nears the keyboard. The keys shut off if you flip the cover back and when you close the cover. It also wakes the Surface when you open the keyboard and puts it in sleep when you close it.
This is a must-have accessory in my opinion, and really makes Surface a viable laptop replacement.

Already having an iPad I decided not to purchase a Surface last year. Since my iPad has become nothing more than a toy that my kids play games and watch Netflix on, I was eagerly awaiting the Surface 2 launch. Almost all of the negatives from the original have been addressed, and the number of apps in the store is rising fast.
I knew of the so-called "limitations" of the RT version, but after reviewing the programs I use on my work laptop, I realized that I can do everything I need on RT, and there was no need to spend more money for the Pro. Office, a full-fledged browser, multi-tasking (2 windows on a tablet is beyond words), USB, MicroSD, and a full keyboard and mouse make Surface 2 a great business machine. I highly recommend the Type Cover 2 and Arc Touch Surface Edition Mouse if you'll be using Office much. The built-in kickstand is perfect for desktop and the couch or lap.
XBox Live games, music, and movie apps make it great for leisure time. Being able to plug in an XBox controller takes gaming to another level. Battery life is excellent- plenty for a full day's work multi-tasking office, ie, and IM+ with plenty of power for catching a movie on Netflix and playing some Halo:Spartan Assault, Hydro Thunder, and Asphalt 7 in the evening. Everything runs fast and smooth, and the 1080P display is beautiful. It's slim design, light weight, and responsive touch screen make it a joy to use.
I'll be picking up an HDMI adapter before my next trip so that I can play movies on the TV in hotel rooms. No need for carrying my laptop around anymore; Surface 2 does everything I need! If running legacy desktop applications is a requirement for you, then Surface Pro 2 is the way to go. Otherwise, Surface 2 can most likely do everything you want or need.

Does the surface 2 support windows movie maker?
I have a vlogging channel on youtube, all I would need would be the bare minimum video editing, basically combining clips together. I was wondering if this is compatible with movie maker.
It comes with Movie Moments, which is like Movie Maker Lite.

Can we use this tablet with a printer?
I do a lot pf printing and would like to be sure before spending the money that I will be able to connect the tablet to my Canon Pixma printer.
Yep; any Surface model will work with most printers out of the box.

Compatibility, what comes in the box when purchased?
Do either the surface 2 or surface 2 pro accept documents transferred from a windows 7 computer, or pictures from windows 7. I want t0 make sure when I purchase one I get the right one. wgich is more compatible, RT, or windows 8
Surface 2 comes with Office installed, but Surface Pro 2 doesn't.
Out of the box that would actually make Surface 2 more compatible unless you have an Office 365 subscription or other Office license you can use to install Office on SP2.
Pictures will sync with either version.

What is the difference between Surface and Surface 2?
There's about a $100 difference between Surface and Surface 2. Why would I buy a Surface.
Surface 2 is much faster (Tegra 4 vs. Tegra 3), has a 1080P screen, and a 2-stage kickstand, which is more beneficial than I would have thought before I had it.
As a bonus, Surface 2 also comes with 200GB Skydrive storage for 2 years and 1 year of Skype Premium Unlimited World.

Why would I buy a Surface 2 over an IPad?
With only $50 difference why would I buy a Surface 2 over an iPad?
Office, portable keyboard/cover, 1080P 16:9 screen, Outlook to name a few.

Can I access a remote desktop with the Surface (access my work desktop and server)
I want to know if i can able to get a remote desktop and server from the Surface so i can do work form home.
Yes, there is even a Remote Desktop app pre-loaded on the device!
