Great wireless bridge

I'm using this to connect a security camera system located in a detached garage at least 75 yards from the house where the main router is located. Connection is not really strong, but streaming video from the security NVR over the Internet is great, and hasn't had any problems.

Main router?

I currently have garbage for a router and want to replace it with something with more range. I was wondering if this would work as a MAIN ROUTER BY ITSELF or do I need another router to connect with it?

This will definitely work, no problem. I test all kinds of routers in my line of work, and these routers should be able to handle way more than what you're probably going to throw at it.
