This is the fifth Automatic (and the second Pro) we've bought. We started off with the Automatics for our three vehicles and bought an Automatic Pro when it first came out. When I bought my wife a new car, I bought this Automatic Pro.
We've liked all of the new features (IFTTT, 3G syncing, crash alerts, tracking, graphics, maps, etc.) along with the old familiar abilities.
I like it so much we had to drop considering some of the insurance companies which require inserting their proprietary OBD-II devices as they aren't as feature-rich as the Automatic devices.

At the price they're sold at, and based upon the not-so-highly-knowledgeable salesperson in the store, one would assume that these cables to be active but they're not.
Back they go to Best Buy and I'll be purchasing active in-wall cables from Monoprice for about half of what these cost.

I'm not surprised that there are so many complaints about this adapter (and most of the other Apple adapters, as well). If people would just read the product name, the description and do a little research, they wouldn't encounter so many issues with this adapter connecting to legacy (or incompatible) products.
For what I need it (connecting a USB-C port to a Thunderbolt hard drive), it just works. The connection on both ends are secure and easily made.

These CR2032 3V Lithium batteries are only a moderate value. They don't last nearly as long as Duracell, Eveready or Energizer brand batteries and they're not much cheaper than the better brands in bulk.
On the other hand, they come in a convenient package which isn't that easy to open.
Apparently, they are now discontinued.

A good way to view TiVo in other rooms

This is the third TiVo we've added to our setup. Biggest advantage is that you can control your Tivo Roamio or Bolt from a remote system and you don't pay a monthly charge for any TiVo mini. Same controls, same remote and same abilities.
Beware that TiVo doesn't support wireless connections on the mini so you'll either need a good wireless setup, Ethernet between the boxes or cable runs from room to room.

Good drive; typical mini drive quirk

As companies have been upgrading their mini drive storage, I've been buying new one. This is a very nice 4TB drive although the case is a bit odd. Unlike previous versions of the WD My Passport drives, this has a slightly thicker case with sharp corners. That's just me quibbling.
The quirk is that most manufacturers of these small drives think that it's logical to put the power/activity LED on the back near the USB port. If I want to check the LED, I have to pick up the drive and turn it around.
Otherwise, a good drive, good value and good performance.

The new WD My Passport is a pretty good drive. It's reasonably fast (USB 3.0) and lightweight. It included software for both Mac and Windows.
My only issue (admittedly, a small one) is that we now have another form factor for the drive which means having to buy a different case for it as it really doesn't fit any previous WD cases.

I don't like the cases which make the iPhone 7 Plus longer, wider and thicker than it already is but I want a case to protect the phone.
I had an Apple iPhone 6 Plus Leather Case from when the 6 Plus came out. It's now scratched up but still in good shape and the iPhone is in excellent condition having been protected from several drops. So, it was logical to buy this case for the iPhone 7 Plus.
It does not disappoint having all of the same qualities as its predecessor.
