After seeing the movie, I found myself enjoying the music so much I had to seek out the soundtrack and I was pleasantly surprised. It has classic but evolved RZA production and the non Wu-Tang cameos are strong, even Kanye West's 'White dress' is impressive with the better than normal content and I enjoyed hearing a lot of the clan together again on songs. I do skip some of the instrumentals just because they seem to hurt the flow of the album.
Long time Lil' Wayne fan, but I'm not a fan who loves anything released by him. 'IANAHBpt2' has a lot of great Weezy F. Baby songs, many U have already heard on the radio or MTV, but it's not limited tho these songs. There are many songs which will never be singles such as 'Trippy" that are solid songs and are have great production too. There aren't an overwhelming amount of cameos even with as many as there are, Weezy still stands strong solo on many tracks if U can really appreciate hip-hop. Pop fans will say there are only the few singles on here, but as a true DJ and music lover I 'd have to say this is a solid album and better than the first 'I am not a human being' project. I didn't like some of the rock song attempts. but I give him credit for being diverse.
The main event is great, the Ramapage fight is great, he even came out to the old 'Pride FC' intro music. The other part of the event that makes it so great is the presence of Japanese greats like Mizugaki and Gomi, who aren't seen in the U.S. enough but where big parts of Japanese MMA and really help put the UFC where it is today. Even the immortal Mark Hunt makes a rare appearance, this makes this event the closest thing to Pride FC (which Zuffa bought) that you'll get here in the states. All around great event from beginning to end.
The main event is great, finally a mental challenge for Jones. The other fights with both of the Nogueira brothers is very cool also. Great event, worth owning.
This is pretty much the closet you'll hear nowadays to a concept album for Hip-hop. I have to compare this to Outkast because of the way it can be played from beginning to end and tell a story, the good and the bad, but all real. Production is great, the extended version of 'Swimming pools' is amazing compared to the radio edit. Lamar changes his flow style not only from song to song, but even in each song he rides different parts of the beat, it's great. The whole album has surprised me, I'm not the biggest skit fan, but they are all perfect transitions for the songs. I'm repeating many songs that will never hear radio play and constantly checking which track is on b/c I hear something I haven't heard even though I've listened to this album, this seriously reminds me of 'Aquemini' or 'ATLiens', b/c it's actually getting better every time I hear it. Super impressed with the content and the overall album. There isn't a single track I skip.
What's great about it: Content, Production, Style, Originality
