Returned it. Exceeds US airlines' 62" size limit

I really liked this Samsonite F'Lite 30" GT Spinner suitcase BUT I don't want to find out at the airport that the airline is enforcing the 62" maximum linear size. And this luggage is way over that ! And don't forget, the wheels are part of the measurement too.
Recently more and more airlines are finding ways to squeeze more money out of you. And "oversized" luggage is one way. The 62" Limit has been around for a while, but now they are starting to enforce it.
Delta charges you an extra $175 each way, and ANY airline can charge you extra, depending on whether the person at the counter got up on the wrong side of the bed or not. I didn't want any last minute surprises / charges at the airport, so I returned this luggage.
And for international travel the 62" limit here in the States, can (depending on the country / airline) be MUCH LESS and even more restrictive.
So unless you've got deep pockets to be shelling out steep "Oversize" baggage penalties, I would think twice before buying this (and other oversized) suitcases.
Of course Samsonite and other luggage companies know about the 62" Rule, but they don't seem to care.
If you care, send them a message by not buying such oversized luggage.
And even if the luggage is listed as 62', 61" etc. DON'T TRUST THE ADVERTISED SIZE. Measure it yourself. Many people have found the "listed" size to be (on purpose) inaccurate.
What's great about it: I wanted a suitcase with latches on the outside instead of a zipper. This luggage is BIG, sturdy with a tight seal,
What's not so great: Over the 62" size limit ! More airlines are enforcing this, Delta wants $175 extra !
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
