Excellent tab

Well first let me say I'm coming from using a nexus 7 (2013) for 3 years until it bit the dust. It was my first tablet and it was amazing, unfortunately the mini USB Jack broke and the battery went flat. So off to look for a new tablet. Frst I tried a samsung galaxy tab 4 but found it to be sluggish compared to my old nexus 7, so back it went and I tried the updated tab A 7. But the Wi-Fi performance was horrible (Netflix stuttered and it wouldn't stream smoothly) and it was uncomfortable to hold and heavy for a small tablet.
So enter the ZenPad 8, I didn't really want to spend a fortune since my old nexus was only 120 bucks. It had the best specs on paper for the price- 2 gig of ram, Mali 750, etc. The pad is well built and is pretty easy to manage for an 8 inch tab. It runs very snappy and smooth like my old nexus 7 and the Wi-Fi is loads better than the tab A 7 (Netflix and streaming are smooth as silk). Yes the screen could be higher resolution, but it still looks good and is plenty sharp with good colours and contrast. Asus bloatware isn't too horrible and can be removed, I actually enjoy the DTS headphone effects.
In summery if you're looking for a nice performing 'budget' tab, you could do worse. I'm very pleased and the slightly bigger screen is easier on my eyes. Good stuff, in fact this review was written on the ZenPad 8 :)
I would recommend this to a friend!
