Decent PPV
on May 2, 2013

I am basing this review on the fact that it met my expectations for a new PPV. There was three HTC matches. While the first one HITC match was mediocre, it still delivered and set the crowd to a great start. The second HITC match was great, the only thing missing was blood between Orton and Cena. I do have to say, that crowd in Jersey was so pro-Orton and so Anti-Cena, that you would think that Orton was babyface and Cena was the heel. The biggest Heel of the WWE got the biggest pop of the night(along with the Undertaker), this shows how much the fans truly hate a boring wrestler in John Cena. The third HITC match between DX and Legacy was great as Shawn Michaels as usual put on a five star performance. The rest of the matches were above average. Ziggler Vs. Morrison suprised me. Divas match match was decent The Big Show's knockout punch on Rey Mysterio was also a great highlight of the night. The triple threat match was average but I'm just not a big fan of Kofi, it was a little on the short side. The only real stinker was the R-truth Vs. Drew McIntyre Match.

Quite Good, But Not The Very Best Of
on April 15, 2013

Picked up a copy at the local store, here's a summary of my thoughts, for the full review check out Tribalwrestling website.
Does the product live up to the hype of "The Very Best of"? The answer is : Almost but not quite# The filler matches prevent it from being a great release #4-5 stars level##
The Good
Best of WCW Nitro Volume 2 is better than volume 1# First off, there's no terrible stuff on the "Very Best of" this time around# There seem to be less effort to 'bury' the former rivals of WWE# So that's a good start#
Most of the content featured are good and memorable matches that features the main stars of WCW #Hogan, Goldberg, Sting, Macho Man, Nash, DDP# along with a couple of tag teams and cruiserweights#
Some of the fun matches to check out are : Sting vs DDP, Goldberg vs Raven, Hulk Hogan vs Randy Savage, Rey Mysterio vs# Juventud Guerrera and Goldberg vs Sting# There are obviously some other good matches on the set to check out#
Beside the matches, there is quick recap of key storylines #Wolfpac Forming, Nitro Spring Break, Nitro Parties and NWO Breaking Up# to give viewers an overall feel of WCW# I like this as it give new fans a overview of WCW storylines and production gimmicks#
The Host DDP is back and better than ever, he tells a great story about Macho Man Randy Savage during their time in WCW#
The Bad
What stopped me from loving this product and giving it a full recommendation was the inclusion of certain matches that were not "The Very Best of" # The proof is in the pudding, the content should be of high quality as per the hype of the title#
There are stuff that most fans will fast forward and not care to watch again# Matches such as Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper, Randy Savage vs Booker T, Hulk Hogan vs Arn Anderson, Jeff Jarrett vs Booker T or DDP vs Jeff Jarrett are not the "Very Best Of" in terms of match quality or storyline importance#
Another prime example would be DDP vs Chris Jericho, which runs for all of 2 minutes of match time####
Personally I'm not in the camp of "unreleased = good" as I only judge the product on it's own merits. There's alot of matches becoming available on DVD for the first time, but not all of it is great. The biggest failure of this DVD is that not all of the matches are 'classic'.
Verdict: Recommended Purchase For Fans of WCW
This is a good buy if you were a fan of WCW or a new fan wanting to check out the promotion. Most of the content is good but there are some filler content which has no place on ' The Very Best of".
I would rate this 3 stars as Amazon does not allow middle score. If you have Blu Ray, definitely consider that version for the 8 bonus matches #1 hour 45 minutes# included. I hope this review will be helpful for other buyers.

Absolutely phenomenal!

The first WWE (F) Pay Per View that I ever watched was Wrestlemania V. So, I have been watching the WWE for most of my life. In recent years however, I have found the WWE to be incredibly boring, and not worth the time. However, I took a chance on this year's Royal Rumble because the Rock was fighting for the championship. It is in the top 3 PPVs I've ever seen, and probably easily the best one since the attitude era. I used to order 'Mania every year, but after being disappointed from XX on, I stopped. After seeing the direction they have taken now, I will definitely start watching again. Every match on this disk is great. Seeing Golddust in the Royal Rumble match was just great. If you are on the fence for this item, go for it! It is well worth the money!

You really felt for Phil while watching this and really had the feeling he was being himself with no kayfabe. Good matches and a long documentary, well worth the price.

BATMAN LIVES!
on April 14, 2013

*New edit*
Below there are MOVIE SPOILERS. This review was written before the release of the actual film, but all content has been proven correct. MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT!!
Batman gets crippled by Bane, but he later makes a comeback and retrains himself to be Batman. Gordon (now mayor of Gotham) gets shot but survives also. At first, Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman) is bad, but she eventually becomes Batman's comrade and she actually kills Bane. Lucius Fox lives also. Come to find out, Ra's al Ghul's daughter, Talia al Ghul, and Bane have taken over the League of Shadows and plan to complete Talia's father's plans by destroying Gotham. The reason Talia and Bane are such good friends is because Bane had, years before, aided her in escaping a huge foreign prison. At first, Bane succeeds: he traps the Gotham City Police Force underground in a violent series of explosions; he puts the rich and powerful on a trial which is presided by Jonathan Crane (aka the scarecrow). The US tries to sneak Special Forces into Gotham disguised as workers, but Bane and his men stop them and hang them from a bridge. Then, Batman escapes the prison bane put him in; he returns to Gotham and fights Talia in trying to stop a nuclear-type bomb from destroying the city. He succeeds, but he is apparently killed in the explosion as he pilots the plane away from Gotham. At the end, Gordon sees Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle in a Paris coffee shop.

It takes blood, sweat, and tears to become the best in the world. And if you want to rise to the top on your terms, you better bring the Attitude, and ignite a revolution. Last summer, one man revolutionized the sports entertainment industry. In a legendary moment at the end of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk shook up WWE and a hero was born. Fifteen years ago, the legendary "Stone Cold" Steve Austin revolutionized entertainment, sparking a new generation of supporters with his relentless Attitude. Now, a new crusade is upon us, and it doesn't start with an iconic WWE Superstar on television, online, or at a live event. WWE '13 is imminent, and it's time to Live the Revolution. The WWE franchise returns to provide the most authentic, seamless and passionate experience to date, presented with a grittier Attitude. WWE '13 will transform WWE gameplay through the introduction of WWE Live, completely changing the videogame's audio and presentation elements. Predator Technology returns to further implement critical gameplay improvements, while fan favorites in WWE Universe mode and the franchise's renowned Creation Suite are poised to offer the utmost in player freedom. Furthermore, WWE '13 will introduce a groundbreaking, single-player campaign based on the highly influential Attitude Era. Complete with a robust roster — the largest to date in the franchise — along with a host of additional features, WWE '13 is ready to live a revolution all its own.

meh i think its the best wwe game in the past 5 ye

based off the reactions i've seen from most wwe fans but the last wwe game i played was like wwe smackdown 2011. they have always been the same just with new characters each year but with the wwe ## series they try to add a gimmick with this one focusing on the attitude era. I'm a wwe fan, so i played the story modes it was nice, i played online and boy it is so cheap. They need to add a move limit filter. all you do is run and grab, run and grab, rub and grab. eVEN if you master the reversal button you have to factor in the lag connection at times so you have to time it 1 second in advance at times it's just too much. Then tag team modes aren't fun when you are playing with random people that don't know how to reverse so you are doing all the work in still end up losing. So you pretty much learn how to play cheaply to enjoy this game. Other than that they have all the right Attitude era players so I would get this game

Love These!

Not cheap, but I think I've finally out-charged the first set I had. I think they lasted around 3 years, mostly used on Baby Alive and things used daily such as moon nightlight and small radios. Definitely worth it if you have kids and feel like you buy more batteries now in 1 month than you have had to in your whole life. TIP: write down where you put them... I'm sure I've donated toys with these in them before I started keeping track.
