Not sure what all the fuss was about, but this is a great film! I've seen it numerous times now, in the theater, on 3-D Blu-ray and now on 4K Blu-ray. Each time was an awesome experience. The 4K Blu-ray really shines. Highly recommended for the quality of the film and the 4K Blu-ray.
A very gritty film with an underlying story that keeps you interested throughout. I had heard good things about this film and was not let down. Recommended.
Only @ Best BuyLimited edition (only at Magnolia)Travel back in time with the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon DC turntable. It commemorates the historic 1964 U.S. tour by the Beatles, and ticket stubs from the legendary tour dot the plinth, which has a premium high-gloss finish. The Debut Carbon DC has an acrylic platter, carbon fiber tonearm and modern Ortofon red cartridge that create a visually stunning work of art.
Definitely a uniquely styled turntable. My guess is unless you are a Beatles fan you will probably not be looking at this one. But if you are, here are some of my experiences so far: I am a Beatles fan and love the style of this turntable. Setting it up was a bit of a hassle but after watching some tutorial videos online I was fine. The table does require an external preamp. I purchased a pro-ject preamp and have it connected to my Denon AVR x3300. The turntable does have an issue with "humming" that has been well documented on-line for pro-ject turntables. It is intermittent. It goes away though if I "jiggle" the ground cable connected to the turntable. So far that has worked. Keeping my fingers crossed. Otherwise, it is a fairly easy turntable to operate and the quality of playback is very good.
Okay, this is what a zombie film should be. I have always loved this film since the first time I saw it way back when. It has it all and it all works. Just a fun film to watch when you need to laugh.
What can I say, I love this film. I have great memories watching this film way back when and loving the music and seeing all these great comedians at work.
This is definitely one of the best Stephen King adaptations to film, and there are quite a few of them. Kathy Bates is excellent in her role. Highly recommended.
So, I think that this would probably have been better as a mini-series but this is still a really cool film. I enjoyed it despite some lackluster reviews. Definitely worth picking up IMO.
