The prequel to the XMen series, show how the main characters started on their paths that took them to where they are. If you haven't seen any of the XMen movies, start with this one first, definitely the best in the series.

Sort of a prequel to the X-Men movies, but definitely the origin of story of Wolverine. A stand-alone movie, you don't need to have seen the X-Men movies to understand it, but it helps. Good movie, excellent acting and great special effects/cinematography.
