I wanted to like this little mouse a lot because it looked so good. But alas, it performs erraticallly with lots of snags and hang ups.There is apparently little one can do to correct the jitter and hang ups. But it does work, and for the price it works fair enough. Its just a little frustrating at times.

I bought the Fire TV because, as much as I liked my Fire Stick, I found it was not great at buffering and I found that often the image on the screen would freeze. The Fire TV doesn't have that issue, and the controls and action and responsiveness to the remote are very smooth. Also the voice control works wonderfully.

Works Nicely for UnAmplified Antenna

I bought this after I cancelled my cable as I no longer had any local channels. I simply connected it to my television coaxial in plug, sat it near a window (on the sill actually), ran a channel scan, and voila 28 very clear, sharp, HD and DTV channels. Its a great value for the low price. If you want better more consistent signal reception, or if you're putting it in a location that is not facing your local towers I suggest an amplified version.

Yes, but its a qualified yes. Unless you subscribe to one of the numerous entities that provide subscription services you must download an application that can deliver the content, but you can't get it unless you already have a subscription via a cable or satellite provider. The exeption is to download an application like Sling, and for 19.00 a month you get ESPN, ESPN II and other channels otherwise available only through cable. But you're still paying for cable, albeit off of a more ala carte sort of menu. There are other applications that do what Sling does, but you will pay a fee of some sort to access otherwise cable offerings.

What does the Type A differ from the non type A
The Type A you are asking about is a reference to what type of USB socket it will fit into. In the case of a Type A, it is a more horizontally oriented configuration where the end of the USB cord is flat. The Non Type A, is a more square plug. Both have four pins but are configured differently to coincide with the different mechanical shapes.
