Love the external sensor!

We've been trying to decide for a while now on which smart thermostat we were going to upgrade to, and luckily our old Hunter thermostat decided to force the issue. We decided to give the Ecobee a try.
I am VERY happy that we did since we don't have a 'C' wire running from our furnace to our thermostat, but Ecobee took care of that with a converter device that was easy to install in the furnace.
The remote sensor turned out to be a HUGE plus for us since my wife has a home-based business, and the room that she works on clients in tends to be 2 degrees (or so) cooler in the winter. Well, now we put the sensor in that room and viola! When they're in that room and it senses occupants, it adjusts accordingly and that room is now more comfortable for her clients!
We're considering getting more sensors, but for now the one that comes with the unit is working very nicely for us. I've played around with the app, but we tend to use our Amazon Echo to adjust the settings via voice command. There's even a web application that you can use!

Best Streaming Device (IMHO)

Our household has been through quite a few streaming devices: Xbox360, Blu-ray players, Chromecast, FireTV, Roku 2, but after purchasing a Roku 4, I was hooked. Fast streaming, great options, and a bonus of a HEADPHONE JACK! Yay! Did I ever think I'd be happy to have a headphone jack in a remote control? Absolutely not.
Well, we're on to upgrading our dinosaur 'Roku2' and I saw BB had these Roku Premiere+ on sale and saw a headphone jack! Sold. Put it in our living room and now Hulu and Netflix allow us to switch between account users, just like the Roku 4. And - my daughter was using the headphone jack last night! Aaahhh.... quite TV....
May want to consider rechargeable batteries if you're going to use the headphone since it'll chip away at your battery life a little.

This remaster is not as good as the original release. Dave went and added horns and tweaked some things that detract from my listening experience.
If this is your first time purchasing this release then it may be fine, but I eventually tracked down the original release to sate my desire for the original. Still nice to have in the collection though!

GREAT Sound!!

I went to my local BB to get replacement speakers for our main entertainment system as the old ones finally were done with. I didn't know what I was going to get, but I knew how much I wanted to spend, at least ballpark-wise.
After looking at a few options, a BB Representative came to assist me and pointed out these speakers and their great sound. I then compared them to models that cost about $100 more for a set and these blew them away. The real test is getting them home and hearing them in my space.
Even better.
I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I know when something sounds good. These are awesome. I would buy them again.

Since they didn't come with any cables, how can I get them to directly hook to a computer or iPod to play music?
What cables or what do I need in order for the speakers to produce music?
You would need to get a receiver or an amplifier. Hook up your iPod/CD player/tablet to the amp, then run the speakers. However, the amp would need the proper speaker connections to work or you'd have to rig something up. Receiver would be best option.

Do these speakers have an auxillary jack?
Are these equipped with an auxillary jack to plug straight into a cd player?
No, they do not.

Small space
Can I hang these speakers up on the wall?
I don't know if I would recommend these for hanging on the wall, but I guess it depends on how you'd set it up. They're not small, and the connectors on the back are VERY beefy and stick out quite a bit.
