Great upgrade over a mechanical drive!

This was replacing a 5400 rpm hard drive in an Alienware alpha. Time it takes from pressing the start button until you can use the Alienware alpha UI was 1:11 for me. with the solid state drive installed, that time dropped to 0:22. Vast improvement over a regular hard drive and perfect for my application. No comment on reliability because I've only owned it for a short time period, but other brands are known to be more reliable.

i bought this hdd the ad says 2.6" but the box says 2.5 which one is right? and doesn't fit, es a litle thick. here is a picture of rhe original, could you tell me please what is the right size for this laptop?
I believe your drive has the Serial ATA 2.6 interface, not a 2.6" form factor. So in short, yes, it would fit.
