Mac are known for quality graphics and this Retina iMac is no exception. Windows all in one computers, even with 4K screens, don't look as nice and don't run as smoothly as a Mac. This model doesn't have as fast a hard drive as serious video editing requires, but for home use it is fine. Upgrade to a Fusion drive or flash storage for that work.

I am not a fan of subscription software, but software developers want a predictable flow of income. If you need Office for more than 2 years, buy a permanent license. Get the subscription if you need the software for a shorter period of time or if you need the latest versions or also want the tablet/phone versions.

I have had average luck with these drives. The warranty is only useful to cover hardware replacement (not data) and requires you to have proof of purchase. I use these as Time Machine Backup drives for Macs. For Macs, make sure you get one with at least 3 times the capacity as you are actually expect to use on the computer. Remember, all drives fail sooner or later. Start backing up now and figure on replacing the backup drive before it fails (3~5 years on average).

SSD upgrades are the single most noticeable speed improvement you can do to your computer. Prices have fallen so do it now! The only thing you will ever regret will be if you get one that is too small and you outgrow it.

is this compatible with Lenovo ThinkPad T430
Not positive. The 430 has the same SATA connector but some Lenovos require the thinner 7mm size. A generic drive is usually 9mm thick. A 7mm drive will work to replace a 9mm drive, but not vice versa. I tossed out the box so I am not sure of the specs. Check the Seagate website. The swap is actually pretty easy.
