Thin, light, fast and moderately priced. Best Buy has been very competitive on their SSD pricing. The SSD Plus is not the fastest SSD from Sandish, but unless you have an ultra high performance computer, the extr 5% speed boost from more expensive drive will not even be available to your computer.

There are differences in claimed speeds between brands and models, but the best factors to consider are the manufacturer's warranty and reputation. PNY is a known player with a solid financial footing and the XLR8 line has a good warranty and excellent included software (Acronis).

I love my iPads. I have all 3 sizes and although I appreciate the 12.9" size for text size and legibility, the weight of the 9.7" is more manageable. The screen quality is wonderful and the performance boost is noticeable. If you are an artist and get the pencil, go for the larger size.

The MacBook is a stunning display of technology. The Retina Display screen is unequalled in clarity and color. The keyboard requires almost no effort but has great tactile response and resistance to error. There has never been a bad trackpad, but the Apple Force touch trackpad sets new standards. Significantly thinner an lighter than an iPad with a keyboard case, it is awesomely transportable. The only limitation is the single USB C port. If you have a wireless printer and good wifi and a network backup drive (Time Capsule or NAS drive), the lack of USB ports won't be a big deal. The icing on the cake is Mac OS X, so much more pleasant and safe than Windows.

I ordered this drive when I read it was a USB-C drive. I hoped it would be usable with standard USB-3 type A ports, which the description acknowledged. I was surprised when it arrived with no USB-C cable, only a USB-C to USB-A short cable. The port on the drive is USB-C.
But, it is 10 times faster than a big USB flash drive without being much bulkier.

I love it and use it every day, but wanted something lighter for traveling.

will this work (bluetooth) with my apple TV; my older MacAir would not, nor could it be connected via HDMI

How does installing an SSD affect you warrantly in a new computer? Does it void your warranty?
Varies by brand. If, to install it, you have to get to a screw under a "Warranty Void If..." label, you have your answer. I usually keep the original drive so as to be able to restore the computer to stock. That also allows me to have the ability to test to see if the problem requiring warranty service is drive or software related, or a real hardware problem elsewhere. Make sure to use the right tools when doing the swap or installation and refer to repair guides at iFixit.com or YouTube.
