Aside from the higher cost per gb the worst thing about the average SSD is the typically small size. Thi PNY is moderately priced and as or more spacious than the standard drives it replaces. It's the perfect upgrade for an aging laptop.

USB3 SSD drive are fast but external USB drives tend to be heavy and expensive. This Sandisk is a compromise. Light weight and less expensive than a 2.5" form factor but a smidge slower than the bigger drives.

The 4K resolution is nice, but the dynamic range is limited. Contrast and saturation suffer and as a TN LCD (as opposed to an IPS) the image quality when viewed off center. Possibly a good cheap gaming 4K.

If your laptop has a standard spinning hard drive, replace it with an SSD and it like getting a new computer. The PNY drives come with a code to download the needed cloning software and if your old drive was still running and not corrupted it is usually simple to do if you have some jewelers screwdrivers.

Faster than a failing laptop HD, but slow.

The hard drives used in most laptops are typically 4200rpm to 5400rpm. The higher the speed, the faster the computer can read the data. A failing drive might have an effective speed of half or slower. A failed drive, of course, has a speed of 0. This drive is the cheapest replacement for an older laptop. If your laptop is 3 years old or less, look for a 7200rpm drive or SSD to actually improve the performance from stock. The SSD especially will make it better than new. But for an older machine that doesn't need to be super speedy, it fills the bill. If you are replacing a dead hard drive, make sure you have all your install/restore discs or you got nuthin.

My dental hygienist recommended this to aid in cleaning under the gums. I had used one years ago to blast food particles from between teeth but this seems to be much clumsier to use than I remember.
1. The tube/hose is more tightly wound which means you need to clear off the area around it completely.
2. I had forgotten that the water that it shoots has to go somewhere - hang your head at a 90 degree angle over the sink or swallow
3. If the wand nozzle is below the water level of the reservoir it dribbles, even when off
4. It must have a steep learning curve as I had trouble pointing it towards trouble spots

will this work (bluetooth) with my apple TV; my older MacAir would not, nor could it be connected via HDMI
I would also like to confirm that I could play my DVD's via the onboard burner? and then put them up on my big screen. Would that be hardwired HDMI or Bluetooth?

How does installing an SSD affect you warrantly in a new computer? Does it void your warranty?
Varies by brand. If, to install it, you have to get to a screw under a "Warranty Void If..." label, you have your answer. I usually keep the original drive so as to be able to restore the computer to stock. That also allows me to have the ability to test to see if the problem requiring warranty service is drive or software related, or a real hardware problem elsewhere. Make sure to use the right tools when doing the swap or installation and refer to repair guides at iFixit.com or YouTube.
