The Geek Squad protection is really great for some items but for some stuff its a waste because I don't use it. However, I always get geek squad protection because I feel if I don't have it I will need it. For the items I have used the protection for it has saved me a lot of money and proved to be very beneficial.

I purchased this warranty for an item I bought as a gift, I would like to know how that person can have access to the warranty if it is under my name and email from when I purchased it.
Tell them to go to any best buy and give your phone number and Best Buy will search under your account for the item and print the receipt, they may have to confirm your physical address as well as your email address. This will allow them to print a copy of the receipt for the repair. I always give a gift receipt so they can use the warranty freely.
