I read many reviews from many sites. There's a good number of broken wheels out there. I got mine from bestbuy.com on 3-19
Updating the firmware: From most of the reviews people had problems updating the firmware. Mine came with version 42. I followed the instruction from the Thrustmaster website to the letter, and updated to version 45. I'm not sure if this matters, but I'm hoping version 45 solved most of the problems out there. You need a PC to do this. There doesn't seem to be a setup utility for the MAC
Setting up: I spoiled myself with a Playseat Challenge gaming chair. Paired with this wheel it feels like you're sitting in a car. This is a great setup for Forza 5. The clamp that locks the wheel down sucks. I went to the hardware store to pick up 2 metric M6 12mm bolts, and just mounted it to the seat. This is a fun setup, but it's expensive. In the Forza settings I turned the vibration to 75%, and the force feedback to 50%. The defaults seemed a little rough. I can't turn the game off now. I hated playing with the gamepad
I though about replacing the wheel it came with. But that would mean another $150 at least. The Engine Start button is actually a d-pad. The rest of the button layout is familiar, like the Xbox gamepad. I think I'll give it a chance. I might upgrade later to the 3 pedal set, and the THR8 shifter. But again, it's dumping more and more money into this racing chair. And I'm already at the point that it costs more than the Xbox one.
Once this is setup and working, it's an enjoyable wheel. The only reason I can't recommend this is it's overpriced. Especially if you want to upgrade it. Unfortunately I don't see many affordable wheel options for the Xbox One anytime soon.

What's great about it: Nice wheel once setup and working

I just upgraded from an older Sony 1010 receiver, and got a lot of new features with this model. The speaker calibration is easy. I've been watching a few films, and the sound is really good. I'm hearing parts of the soundtrack I didn't notice before. It's very crisp audio. Network setup is easy. The new menus for setup are intuitive and look a lot better than previous models. The receiver supports 8 connections plus Apple Air play through wifi. I've connected all my devices via HDMI, so I can't comment on the up-conversion feature. But over all this receiver should cover all your needs. If you attempt a network update, count on about 40+ minutes of down time

It's a shame the older force feedback was discontinued. If you want this controller for an arcade style racing game it works well. Forza 3 is playable if you don't manually shift. Besides the d-pad and the 4 buttons shown, there is 1 trigger behind each of them. The controller only takes AA batteries. The rechargeable battery is not an option.
What's great about it: Wireless, light
What's not so great: Not enough controls for manual shifting. AA batteries only
