Don't wait for the Note 8

I got the Lg V20 as a replacement for my old s4 after all the Note 7s started burning up. I thought about waiting until next summer for the Note 8, but after a month with the V20 I'm glad I didn't wait. The screen is big and beautiful and most importantly NOT curved. I hate the curved Edge screens. I was always activating one of the edge funtions when I would try the s7 in a store. The V20 puts its always on functions at the top in a second screen that is out of the way while still being just as useful. The camera works great, the phone starts with 64 GB of storage instead of 32 and can take an SD card. It's not waterproof, but you can change out the battery, a trade off that I prefer. I also prefer the finger scanner on the back. It just works naturally. You pick up the phone with your finger on the button and it is opened before you turn the phone over. Plus moving the button to the back makes the phone shorter than an iPhone. But the real big difference is the quad DAC. The phone can play flac audio file and not only has Hi-Fi abilities with a good set of headphones, but also has build in options for surround sound and other equalizer functions. If you want a phablet that can play great music, this is it. I never thought I would buy another Lg phone after my old flip phones, but this is a great phone.

I love the Note 5. Beautiful screen. Great speaker location. Only problem is that the finger print lock identifier often takes multiple attempts to recognize my finger print. Otherwise, it would be a perfect phone for me.

We live near many trees...will it work fine or will this be a problem?

I live 30 miles from boston, MA. Can I pick up Fox News Channel 41, so that I can finally dump Comcast?
As far as distance goes, yes, with no problem. The real issue will be height off the ground you can put the antenna and if you have anything physically blocking the signal. We had a problem with a big tree next to our house. I moved the antenna to a different part of the attic and now it works perfectly on stations 25 to 50 miles away.
