Being a Boomer I grew up waiting patiently for the Peanuts specials, especially, at that time the networks show the specials once per season. Part of the anticipation was the Peanuts-Vice Guaraldi connection. I have seen the film and the music on the soundtrack works. If you look at the track listing, it pays homage to Vince Guaraldi, and incorporates singers and musicians of the present. I agree that purists of Vince and the Peanuts specials may find the soundtrack too pop oriented, but I was pleasantly surprised by the selections the soundtrack offers, therefore, I am recommending the soundtrack.
