Good Value and performance

I purchased this unit to power my deck speakers. Good power, better than average sound quality, but had problems staying connected through Bluetooth. I returned the unit because this was my primary reason for purchase. I returned it without hassle, and Purchased a Yamaha unit, and found significantly better sound quality, as well as superior connectivity. Happy ever since.

Enjoy wireless music playback from smartphones or other mobile devices with this Yamaha Hi-Fi stereo receiver. It has a handy speaker selector for switching between the sound output terminals, and it uses Bluetooth for wireless connectivity. A power management feature on this Yamaha stereo receiver shuts it down automatically when the receiver is not being used.

I originally purchased an Insignia 2 channel Receiver. Outstanding value, but iffy on Bluetooth connectivity. I wanted the Yamaha, but let price dictate the purchase. I then returned to Best Buy, had a no hassle return of the Insignia, found the Yamaha ON SALE, made the purchase and have been happy ever since. Better sound quality, excellent connectivity, and more than enough power to drive my Kickers on the deck.

Outdoor speakers/volume control

I have been finally meaning to connect rock speakers for my patio. I have already bought my speakers (8ohm) and the outdoor volume control (RMS 75 watt) and am looking for the final piece to my puzzle. My main goal is to play music at a moderate level (I don't want to have my neighbors complaining, but need something to entertain when I have people over) from my local radio stations, Pandora or iTunes from my phone, and be able to run the audio from my fios box. Will this do the job?
Sure will. Good sound quality, and in most situations, good connectivity. I did experience some connectivity problems, with the unit inside, and the phone outside on the deck. It could have been better. Works fine with the phone inside, but I used my phone to adjust the volume, not the remote. Returned the Insignia, bought the Yamaha, and have had great results with no issues.
