Camera works awesome. Picture and sound is good. It picks up any amount of sound. Wanted something simple that works as a stand alone thing, without having to be hooked up to the internet, apps and what not. Good purchase exactly what I was looking to get. Be nice to get a 2nd camera for the intercom function alone. It can do 4 of them if you want to. So yeah, I'd definitely recommend it.

Computer's alright. Had no desire to learn windows 10 but you can at least set it up to look like past windows versions. Computer just seems to freeze up more than my old one, seems a little slower and thought it would have been more of a step up. Works fine though and the picture is good. I'm not a fan of the only automatic update, like to decide when I'm going to restart the computer but sounds like that's a windows 10 thing and not this individual computer.

I go away a lot. Can you view the images live on a smartphone?
Don't think so. You'd have to get one of their other units that look like a dvr, that would connect to the internet and you could use on a phone. If you don't need or want to have it hooked to the internet and apps all the time it's good, works awesome for me. But yeah you can't view it live on your phone like other ones.

CAN YOU HOOK UP A SEPERATE MONITOR
Don't think so. The monitor it comes with is what controls everything, record settings and what not. It saves everything onto a sd card though so you can put it in a computer or tv and watch what's been recorded on that. It seems like a pretty decent unit. 2nd camera would almost be nice to get for the intercom function alone. Good purchase, simple, works good, and wanted a stand alone thing to use without needing internet. I wonder what happens if the power goes it, will it come back on and record like it was always on or have to be reset?
