I've been very pleased with this router. The webpage-based interface directly supports running your whole house through a VPN if you want. There are many handy features that are straightforward to use.
There is also an enhanced firmware you can flash the router with that allows even more features. ASUS-Merlin. Pretty active forums for this as it fills a need many people wanted.
The router speeds are very good, covers my whole house easily. There is a phone app you can use too. Overall I'm very happy with this router.

Great hub for USB-C devices

I bought this to go with a new laptop that I bought that only has USB-C ports. The laptop came with a hub, but I couldn't get the HDMI out to work with the included hub. It worked just fine with the j5create hub.

Good slim laptop

I bought the laptop mainly for traveling and to use as a backup for my home desktop if it was down for some reason.
It is very slim and easy to carry around. The feel of it is nice. One of the consequences of how thin this laptop is that you only get two USB-C ports, nothing else. One for data and/or power and the other for just data. This brings me to my biggest issue with the laptop: the lack of ports means you have to buy an additional USB hub to give you any ports. It comes with one, but I couldn't get the HDMI out to work with the included hub. I had to buy another one before I could get that to work.
The power "brick" for this laptop is tiny. It is probably only a power "pebble". That is very nice. Its always annoying with you get a relatively portable device then the power cord is as big as the device itself. Definitely not the case here.
The 16 Gigs of RAM and 512 GB SSD are very nice.
I would recommend this laptop as long as you don't need to attach a lot of things to to. The slimness is nice looking and makes it easy to carry around.

I already owned a Google Chromecast, but I now have a 4K TV so I wanted to the Chromecast to be able to handle 4K.
It works perfectly. My Sony TV has Android TV as its OS, so the TV itself is basically a chromecast. However, the youtube app buffered non-stop, even on HD videos. 4K videos were impossible. It seemed to only be youtube. VUDU and Netflix are all fine, but youtube seems to have a problem.
I got the Chromecast Ultra kind of as an experiment. It is attached to the TV so it is the same distance to my router. There is an Android app (Fast Speed Test for Chromecast) that will tell you the speed your Chromecast gets, and both the Sony Android TV and the Chromecast Ultra are getting 50+ Mbps, so plenty fast for 4K.
The Chromecast Ultra plays 4K 60fps videos perfectly. Smooth and clear. The functionality of the Chromecast has always been good, and that hasn't changed. Using your phone to pick videos is very handy.
The one thing I don't like is the power cord. Previous Chromecasts just had a micro USB power. You could plug it into your TVs USB port, so you didn't need to have another power cord hanging off the back of your TV. I assume the additional processing power needed for 4K videos required more power. One advantage is the power cord now has an ethernet port in it. So if you have ethernet available near your TV you can use it rather than WiFi if you WiFi is too slow.

Yet another great USB backup drive from WD

I've owned many Western Digital external USB powered drives over the years. As bigger size drives have been created I buy new ones. I've never had one fail. They work great.
I'm using this new 4TB one as part of my data backup scheme. I create one huge almost 4TB VeraCrypt file as an encrypted disk partition. I then mount it as a drive letter and copy all my data to it. I keep this drive in a desk at work. The encryption means that if the drive is stolen I don't have to worry about anyone having access to all my data.
Even with the overhead of the encrypt/decrypt of VeraCrypt the Western Digital drive is still plenty fast. I've played movies off the encrypted drive and it easily handles the speed.

Nice, but has issues

I liked the Dji - Osmo Mobile, and was looking forward to using it. It was pretty easy to set up, and more or less worked well. The problems I had probably come from using an Android phone. DJI says they don't support Android as well as iPhones, and they don't. You can't use their software to record video at 4K, only 1080. You can choose to use the camera's app rather than the DJI app to do 4K video, but then you can't use some of the features to do things like face tracking.
The thing that made me return the Dji - Osmo Mobile was that for some reason almost instantly using its software made my Galaxy S6 overheat. I noticed this when the video stopped recording well, and saw that the phone was in cool down mode. This happened very time I used it. Even inside where it is air conditioned. That pretty much made it useless for me. This did not happen when I was not using their app, so I don't think its my phone.
For iPhone users it might be different. The actual gimble aspect of the device worked very well. I was totally pleased with that part. If you used the button to turn right or left, up or down it was a bit mechanical looking in the video, but nothing bad.
If it had not been for the over heating of my phone caused by their software I would have kept the device and used it often. Hopefully they will fix the issue in future releases.

Light bleed...

I went through 3 of these TVs before giving up. The TVs could have been very nice, but all 3 had bad light bleed and/or dead pixels. The Geek Squad people were very nice about returning them, but after 3 I gave up.
The TV seems a bit under powered too. It is basically a 75 inch Android tablet with HDMI inputs. For a lot of the apps it was sluggish.
If the light bleed issues hadn't been there I would have been happy with it though. The picture quality was very good where the light bleed didn't affect it.

Yes you can. This TV's OS is Android TV, so it is a lot like Android tablets. There is an Android app that is a browser for Android TV. I would recommend getting a bluetooth keyboard and mouse if you plan to use it much as a browser.
