I own several electronic transportation devices. Scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, etc... I am only sharing because my reviews of electronic transportation devices is based on the use of many different types. This particular skateboard ended up exceeding my expectations. The box contained the board, handheld wireless controller, charger block carrying strap and basic instructions/safety sheet. I charged it to full and it was easy to tell because the power block has a red light when charging and a green light when fully charged. The takeoff was fast and abrupt at first. The board is driven by a single 800W motor. It is a powerful little motor and it states that it can handle up to 220 lbs. I weigh about 170 lbs and it has no problem moving me around. At first, I felt a little uneasy but after a couple minutes I started to relax my legs and knees a bit and slowly adjust to a loose body feel and become one with the board :) After about 10 minutes I was riding smooth and bending corners easily. As I stated, I have previous experience on electric skateboards so I was able to adapt pretty quick. I could see it taking longer for beginners. I have ridden the board on streets, sidewalks, parking lots and pretty rough pavement. The board is somewhat skinny and my feet do hang off a bit. On the rougher pavement you definitely feel a constant vibration and getting off the board will leave your legs feeling funny for a few minutes. The board does good on sidewalk separations but you do have to keep an eye out for debris and such. I have hit little rocks and sticks. Most of the time the wheels just kick it out to the side and I keep trucking. Once you have a strong forward momentum going the board gets through these smaller obstacles. I definitely don't suggest riding the board through any water of any sort. Even the smallest puddle can result in rendering your board useless. The underneath where the motor is stored is attached in a black solid plastic housing with vents for cooling. Getting water in that housing would most likely result in an electrical short. After non-stop riding it can get hot underneath but that is expected when pushing this type of device to it's max potential. The pick up is solid and the battery lasts me about 30-45 of constant cruising and the occasional full speed. The handheld controller has a safety strap which I 100% reccomend using and the controls are pretty simple. Up on the controler to accelerate and down to brake. The brake had an interesting learning curve. For the first few times I used the board, I felt the brake was to sudden and would result in me falling. I honestly thought I would never use the brake. The more I got comfortable riding the board I kept experimenting with the brake. I can now use the brake like a pro and stop on a dime. The trick is to really lock your legs onto the board right before braking. If you brace properly you won't feel like the board is going to stop and you're gonna keep going. I don't do anything extreme on the board like jumping, tricks, etc.. I do feel the board is durable but don't know how well it will hold up if you are abusing it too much. After reading some mixed reviews I did go ahead and purchase the geek squad replacement program for 2 years. I really don't foresee any issues and I have probably spent about 20-30 hrs riding the board. The geek squad plan does provide me peace of mind, just in case. As an electric skateboard vs the others available on the market, it's really not a fair comparison. Some of the other boards retail for several hundred dollars more and it wouldn't be fair to expect exactly the same. I feel at the price point that ACTON really hit a homerun with the Blink Board. Keep an eye out for the BLINK QU4TRO by ACTON coming out in 2017. That board will redefine electronic transportation!

I picked up this and the Best buy Exclusive blue controller. My wife has gamed with me in the past but she never really had her own controller. After picking up the Gears elite for myself I thought getting her these would be a nice touch. The controller itself has the same functions as any Microsoft official XB1 controller. It does have the 3.5 mm headphone jack but that doesn't really come into play for us. So far my wife has been using this version the most and it has proven to be reliable and sturdy. We did accidently drop it on the tile floor but nothing happened and it didn't even leave a scratch/blemish. I can recommend all the official XB1 controllers and I would suggest purchasing which one appeals to you visually. Unless you are looking for something with tons of customizations and options. In which case, the elite would be my recommendation.
Add style to your gaming when you use this Microsoft Xbox blue controller. The wireless design lets you play from anywhere in the room, and an included microUSB cable lets you keep the controller charged and ready for use. This Microsoft Xbox blue controller includes rapid fire controls for accuracy when you play.

It's a standard, official Xbox One controller but it's blue. While there are other options, also from Microsoft that feature different themes and the like, they're all going to function the same (not including 3rd party controllers or the Microsoft Elite controllers) so your best bet is to pick which one appeals to you visually. I picked up this one and the Dawn Shadow Edition with hopes of the wifey gaming with me a bit more. If you are looking for a higher end controller with tons of customizations, options and money's no object, I recommend the Elite controllers.
