Go ahead and protect that Surface of yours and use the fingerprint reader keyboard to save time logging in to your Surface! Took a little bit of practice to learn how to press your finger to get just the right reading but now I'm in and using it much faster than any password.

What is a good printer if I want to print on rice paper and other abnormal media?
I am an artist and I create a lot of books. I would like to be able to print on rice papers, tracing paper, onion paper, so on and so forth. These papers are usually thinner than plain paper, and are more fragile.
I haven't tried with this printer using those type of media. I would think it would be trial and error. You might need to mount onto something a little stiffer such as cardstock using a temporary adhesive.

It does not have a scanner on it so no it can not scan and make copies. It can print as many copies as you have toner and paper for.
