This is 1 of the best TVs I have ever owned. (I have had/have Samsung, Sharp (also good TV) Magnavox, Hannspree, Vizo,)The picture is outstanding. Lots of HDMI ports (one of my requirements). The only drawback is lack of streaming apps. Fixed by a Chromcast.

Not up to Samsung Standards or mine

First I have 2 other Samsung TV's in my house. Both are very good but several years old. I also have a new Sharp and new Sony TV.
I returned this TV because of one mail reason. The firmware was out of date by 3 years. The tool on the TV to update would not download this firmware.
The software etc was slow and not very responsive.
Contacted Samsung was told to download said firmware and insert USB drive containing firmware into TV and use software on
TV to install. There is NO option to install from USB drive. So contact Samsung Tech Support and lo and behold the USB port is 1.5. Ancient!!! USB 2.0 was released April 2000. Samsung Tech tells me that TV must have USB 2 to install firmware from USB drive.
So the smart TV does not perform well because firmware is out of date but I cannot install via TV software until Samsung so desires and cannot install via USB port because it is out of date.
Picture quality was good but was not going to fight the firmware issue so this TV was returned.
BTW this was a Geek Squad Certified TV. I mistakenly thought that everything would work great and save a little money. WRONG. Will not buy Geek Squad Certified again.

Can I connect my laptop to this tv, either thru WiDi or some kind of wireless display tool?
