one channel vs. two channel receivers. What is the difference?
ONE channel receivers do NOT exist on any planet as we know it. However, prior to sterephonic sound equipment (first introduced in the late '50s), ALL home audio for music playback and enjoyment was MONO. What is available in today's audio market place is the MONOBLOCK power amplifiers made by a handful of high end manufacturers at prices most of us can ill afford. And one would need to purchase two amplifiers for STEREO playback.
