Just before leaving on a trip, I wanted a camera that was a step up from the inexpensive point and shoot cameras I'd purchased in the past, which frankly, didn't offer much more than a good cell phone camera in terms of quality and features.
This hit the spot. The 20x zoom was used a lot more than I thought, and the larger sensor delivered better low light photos and other benefits. The size was very reasonable considering the zoom capabilities of the camera.
There are an incredible number of features built into this camera. Many more than I could master prior to the trip, unfortunately, One that did come in handy was the 4K snapshot mode, which was perfect for capturing the perfectly timed shot for sporting events.
Pros- large sensor, small size, good zoom range, extensive features. Decent battery life.
Minuses- no built in geo-tagging. No manual focusing, and auto-focusing seemed slow at times- or else I didn't choose the right mode.
Overall, this has exceeded my expectations for a quality travel camera.
This Canon PowerShot SX540HS digital camera features 50x optical zoom and integrated autofocus, so you can bring far-away subjects up close. The 3" LCD makes it easy to review your shots and choose settings for your next photo. .
is it capable of continuous shooting and how many frames per second?
Yes, it can shoot continuously in 4K mode. Not sure the exact interval, but something like 10 fps. To point out the obvious, the resolution is limited to that of 4K video.
