SUMMARY
This is an excellent headset which mark itself different from regular headphones with it’s noice cancelling capability and stellar battery life. The other side can hear you even when you are outside and the wind is blowing and they can hear you clearly. The battery life is rated at 24 hours when fully charged and 300 hrs of standby time.

SETUP
The setup is straightforward, i charged the headphones to 100% before starting the setup which i do typically with any device running on battery. Start with the headphone turned off and then turn it back on by pressing the power button and the LED will blink blue red which indicates that it is in pairing mode. Then go to the phone and initiate pairing.
BUILD QUALITY
The build quality is excellent, the headphones has a good amount of stretch without any creaking which is great. the Cushion on both sides are soft and i think you can wear this for long hours.
CHARGING
it takes 3 hours to fully charge and once fully charged, it can last 24 hours for talk and 300 hours for standby. I dont think any headphones comes close to 24 hours of talk time.
Unfortunately i was not able to find any quick charge capability
CALL QUALITY
This is where the headphones shine. the other person can actually hear my voice clearly even during the midst of a noisy environment like a restaurant or outdoor.
So if you are working from home. it can nullify any background noise.
I think the headphone is a must have for anyone working from home and would like to avoid the background noise and needs to take a lot of conference calls.

Almost everyone who possibility can is working from home during the pandemic, which means you sometimes need to print, scan and fax documents.
You want to avoid going out and also at the same time do not want three different equipments sitting at home for doing all of the printing, scanning or faxing.
So, this is the solution. It is a cheap, wireless all-in-one printer which does the printing, scanning and faxing. It is easy to setup, the cartridges are cheap and does the job efficiently.
Talking through the details...
SETUP
setup is straight forward, download the HP Smart App from Appstore (google or apple) and follow the directions to setup the printer wirelessly.
The paper tray can hold 60 pages and the automatic feeder had 35 pages.
The printer has an LCD screen which shows you the ink status , copies left , wifi status.
Wifi connection is 2.4Ghz only and does not support 5Ghz. This is not anything bad because all wifi networks support 2.4GHZ and it has a longer range as compared to 5Ghz
In case of printer, range is more important than speed.
PRINT, FAX and SCAN
Once the printer is setup, since it is wireless, you can print , scan or fax documents from windows machine, Macbook or a phone.
The printer can print decent quality prints and fairly fast.
Note that the printer is bluetooth enabled and you can print documents using bluetooth connection as well.
HP provides 12 months of free fax which comes in handy because you do not need to run to staples to fax documents.
The printer can print 120 pages with the regular cartridge but with XL, the capacity doubles.
The cartridges are cheap and you do not need to have both color and black installed to print, If you do not care about color prints, you can just use black and it will work fine,.
Overall i think this is a value buy

I am a big fan of logitech. I have used a lot of their products ranging from computer keyboards, mouses, speakers and UE speakers. they are rock solid and just so hard to break!!
This logitech keyboard “MX keys” is an excellent companion for your iMac, Macbook, Ipad or even your windows computer. I know that this is keyboard is marketed as mainly for macOS but it works on any windows computer which is 8.0 or later.

Build quality is super just as you expect from logitech product. I have a 3 year old and this withstood some throwing and banging. There are rubberized legs (just like Mac) on the bottom of the keyboard which makes sure the keyboard do not slip when on a desk. There are no legs, which is a good thing because they always break. Because they do not have legs they are already propped up. There is a ON/OFF switch and a type c port which is used for charging.

Setup is simple, there is a unifying receiver which can be connected to a USB port or you can also connect it to the bluetooth connection of the computer and now most computers come with bluetooth you will not have the need to use the unifying receiver,

Once fully charged the keyboard lasts 10 days with backlit on and almost 5 months without backlit. i think it assumes that you use it may be 3 hours a day.
You can also used it as wired mode, i know some reviewers complained that this is wireless only. This is totally untrue.

Once you have paired and charged the wireless keyboard and connected via the receiver or the bluetooth connection, you are good to go.
Typing - One thing i really like about the keyboard is that it is super quiet and a great working from home companion. The fact that the keyboard clicks are so quiet, you can be on a conference call and still be taking notes without muting your phone.
I love the feel of the keyboard, lot better than my MacBook Air keyboard. Love the fact that the keys are dish shaped, has a good feel to it.
the 2 keys i really love are the screenshot keyboard and the logout button. I love this logout feature because my 3 year old always want to get on my computer and i dont want him accidentally typing on my office computer.
Customizable keys - you can download logitech options and the keys can be customized.
Backlit - love the fact that the keyboard has backlit and it has adaptive brightness and it lights up when you move your hand over it in a dark room! Brilliant!!
Switching - never used this feature but you can switch between 3 different computers by just clicking a button.
Overall, i think this is a great product and well worth the price.
Why would you get the apple magic keyboard! It does not even have backlight.

This speaker is an excellent Bluetooth and a great alternative to the cheap Bluetooth speakers out there which do not put out a good deal of sound. The speaker is water proof as it is IP67 Rated which means it is dust proof and can withstand water up-to 1m deep for 30 mins. So it is a safe speaker for the pool.
Not all speakers have light which will light up in tune with the music, this looks great in a dim-lit room or at night. Lets talk through the details

It is waterproof, dust proof, rustproof and shockproof. Pretty much indestructible. The fabric is made exclusively in Japan and it is easy to clean if it dust gets on it or gets wet. The fabric is infact water resistant too, So it may get wet but not soaked and easy to wipe off the water. So it is great for beach or pool and you can put it directly on the sand. The speaker can stand upright vertical or horizontal. Note that this is the largest of the XB series and weights in at 6.5LBS and as the size is bigger it does put out good amount of sound.
It is a 2 way speaker system and it has a pair of tweeters for high frequencies and woofer for low to mid-range frequencies. It also has side passive radiators for enhancing the bass.

The Speaker can be paired using an NFC capable phone or you can use the Bluetooth feature of your phone. But before doing anything, i made sure the charge is 100% with the included AC adapter. Time required for full charge is around 5 hours after which the charging indicator turns off. If you need to check the charge % at any point, you can simply press the BATT button and the Battery % will be indicated by a voice command. The Battery life is 24 hours at the setting of volume at 31, lighting is off and sound effect is set to STAMINA. Putting this thing in extra bass mode will reduce the battery to around 14 hours and if the light is on. Note that this speaker does not need the extra bass function to put out the extra bass. The Speaker does put out extra bass anyway by default. If the battery is low, it gives out a voice command as well.
Pairing with Bluetooth is easy, just power on and the Bluetooth light will be double flashing and connect to the speaker on the phone. Once the phone is paired, the Bluetooth light will remain lit.
You can also use the NFC functionality to easily pair it, make sure Bluetooth is also set to on on your phone.

Since the size of the speaker is big and with the dedicated Tweeter and woofer, the sound the speaker puts out is excellent. I do have a Harman Kardon Invoke which i bought as refurbish, this speaker blows it out of the water. Although this one cost more than the Invoke, i think it is well worth the price for the sound quality.
There are couple of apps you can install for using with this speaker.
Sony Music Center - Which helps you in pairing and setting the equalizer settings. It also shows you the battery % and you can also change settings like STAMINA, X BASS etc.
Fiestable- This is a fun app used for controlling the light hue or play optional drums along side the music.
I do not have another Sony speaker to test the party connect. This is a feature which you can use to connect multiple speakers and have the music and light sync up among these devices.

Very Good Wired Security Camera with Free Storage

This camera equipment is a great wired security camera set which includes 4 cameras which are 4K and a base. The wired cameras are connected to the base unit which also has a 2TB. Each of the cameras comes with a 60 Ft cable. In some cases the cables are not long enough and I had to get an extension cable to be able to connect 2 of my cameras. The best part is that there is no monthly fee as you can save the recordings to the 2TB hard drive.
The hard drive is expandable by swapping out the 2TB with a bigger version.
There is also an App which can be installed on a apple or android device and can be used for alerting/notifications and monitoring.
SETUP
The setup of the camera is better done before installation. So I actually connected the cables/cameras to the hub and connecting the hub to internet (Wired) and to my monitor using the HDMI cable. The hub should have been a wireless hub so that I don’t have to really have a internet over power adapter or keep this hub closer to the router.
Once connected, it will ask you to setup userid/password which will then be the same one which will be used on the android/apple app.
The app is pretty intuitive as well similar to the zoom app and you can swipe and view the cameras when in use.
INSTALLATION
I had to get a handyman get this hooked up on the house, 2 on front and 2 on the back of the house. The base unit, I decided to keep it in my room inside the closet and hooked up to an internet over power adapter ( I had d to get someone to put an outlet inside the closet).
The BNC cable that comes with camera is pretty thick and I had to figure out a way to get this inside the house through the attic to connect it to the DVR hub.
The cameras are IP67 rated and can withstand 131F to -40F temperature and it is water resistant
USAGE
Once all the cables are connected to the DVR Hub, the usage is pretty straightforward using the android app which lets you view the camera in a very good 4K resolution video. The video is a wide angle display and has a very long range in night light and day time.
The camera has also a motion activated LED light which servers as a warning sign for intruders also to light up the subject.
It also has a siren which has to be manually activated by the user.
Lets now talk about the pros and cons

I am using this mouse with my 7th generation iPad and it is going to replace my Magic Mouse 2 which I am going to sell. Primary reason - I don’t want to keep charging the mouse every couple of weeks. This Logitech mouse can run a marathon at 18 months before replacing the AA battery.

Second reason - it has a scroll wheel on the top although I can move my finger over the Magic Mouse 2, it does not work well for scrolling.

It is made of plastic unlike the Magic Mouse 2 has an aluminum base but it is ok. It does look well built and will survive a few falls. It is almost the same size as that of the Magic Mouse 2 and weighs lesser. It is well rounded and feels good in your palm.

Take it out of the box and pop in a AA battery and it automatically gets into a bluetooth pairing mode. I was able to pair with my iPad in a jiffy,

USAGE
It’s a mouse, not complicated. It has a right click, left click and a scroll wheel (Big plus). There is no USB receiver, just connects through bluetooth.
The movement is smooth and I actually do not like the way Magic Mouse moves may be because of the 2 Bar like things at the bottom. For the Logitech mouse, u do not even need a mousepad. I could just use it over a regular desk and it is smooth like butter.
And not to mention that the button clicks are much smoother and quieter, better than the Magic mouse and you can actually use it in a room when someone is sleeping.

THE APP
Not sure why when I search on google play, the app is in the 7th position. It should really be at 1. I searched for “Theragun App”, this should be fixed. Anyways, I installed it and it asked to be synced with the massager and asks for a firmware upgrade.
Once done, the app allows you to save presets on to the device based on the condition such as backspin, plantar etc or your body part such as leg.
The speed (PPM) percussions per minute can also be controlled by the App,
This Massager also allows you to save 3 routines directly on the device so that you don’t need to open the app every-time you want to use it
I actually prefer not to open the app.
One more thing, it is only compatible on Android version 10, not on 9 (Pie). Why?
DESIGN & SETUP
I have to say that the Theragun Elite looks very stylish and modern. The build quality is very good and easily can withstand drops which can happen with a massager.
The setup is simple, I made sure to charge to 100% before using it. It comes with 5 attachments, I typically use the dampener which is really good for any areas.
I don’t think I would ever use the cone with this power.
USAGE
Just set the desired speed among the 5 preset through the LED screen or if you have saved routines from your app (3 can be saved) , you can use them.
I was wow’ed by the power of this thing! Initially it can be a little uncomfortable but once you use it, you would never go to a regular massager.
The noise on the device is very low and I could watch a TV while my wife is massaging my back with this thing. It’s amazing. The claim is that it is same as an electric brush… I think which is comparable.
After a few uses, I do notice an impact on my backache in a positive way.
The battery life is rated at 120 min and at the time of review after a few usages I still have 50% left (it really helps that the OLED screen displays this information) which means it will live up to its rated battery life.
I would highly recommend this device and I think it will pay for itself in a few uses,

Excellent Air conditioner with Digital Thermostat

This air conditioner is replacing my 8000BTU Portable air conditioner which I absolutely hated. The hose always used to slip off the window and used to blow hot air inside. And on top of that, it was not cooling the room when the temperature rises to 90F. Now, with this window AC sitting on the window and in a 12x20 room , it does an outstanding job of cooling the same room. I am surprised that a 6000BTU AC works better then the 8000BTU portable air conditioner. I also liked the fact that the display is digital and I can adjust it to the required temperature since the thermostat is digital (By default it shows the current temp). It is compact and fits a standard hung window.
The cooling has 3 separate modes - Low, Medium and high for speed of cooling and the fan also has High, Low and Medium. There is an auto mode which can be set while cooling. You can use the air conditioner as a fan without the compressor being on which is good when the outside temperature is not that that hot.
The sound on the air conditioner is same as my 5000BTU Frigidaire which I should say is silent.
There is also a eco mode which turns off the fan when the compressor is turned off to save energy.
Now, one good thing is that when you turn on the power, it shows the current room temperature which is the starting point to adjust it down…
I mostly use the delayed OFF mode so that the air-conditioner turns off automatically after 8 hours..

Setup on the air conditioner is pretty straightforward and I am sure everyone must have installed a window air-conditioner at least once in their life…
There is one self adhesive gasket is included for taping it to the window to avoid any air gaps.
There is also a filter indicator which indicates when the filter needs cleaning. I have not tried to remove it yet…

Yamaha has been known to produce exceptional quality audio equipments and this sounder is no exception. It is an excellent sounding sound bar in a small package. Although it comes in a small package, it is feature rich.

Setup is straight forward, connect the HDMI cable to your TV, The sounder has HDMI arc so you can use your TV remote to control it. The remote that comes with it is very flimsy. So it is very convenient. You can also download the Yamaha sounder controller app from iPhone or android Appstore. The small remote is easily lost.
The indicators on the sounder has subtle and won’t be bothersome. The sounder also has an additional HDMI port.

I am very impressed with the sound quality of the set. Crisp highs and not boomy bass. The bass is very impressive for a sounder without any subwoofer. The soundstage is also very good . The surround sound is Dolby X which does pretty good.
I also played music streaming from my phone to the sounder through bluetooth and the soundbar sounds really good for both music and movies.
I think it is a great upgrade to your TV speakers and you will definitely feel the difference. It may not be as good as Sonos beam but it is very close.

Excellent Software and Value - Better than Turbo

Typically I want until April 15th for filing my return but I decided to give it a shot early this time. I bought this version because I do freelancing and I have multiple incomes and also work in 3 different states, so its a bit complicated. Zi also have 4 different trading account which needs to be computed for cost basis etc. So, with that said here is the review:
If you have self employment and multiple sources of income (Brokerage, W2), this is the version to get
INSTALL
Download and installation is fast and straight forward. It is a light software and installation is quick and easy like any other software.
SETUP
If you have not used this software before it will ask you to setup but if you have used it, you could use the prior used userid to get it and it will also know your details since you have used it before.
USAGE
This is where H&R Block shines. If you have any other software ilke tax slayer or tax act, you will really like the features of the polished software. The 2019 version kind of runs neck to neck with the leader - Turbo Tax on online filing.
However, the main advantages with HR block are :
1. You have access to any of the live CPAs in the HR block
2. Audit help is outstanding and comes standard with this version where Turbotax charges extra for it.

FILING
Fed and one state is included with this version , but if you have multiple states, then you will have to pay extra per state but it still works out cheaper than Turbotax.
You have options to File online or print and send. The software also helps filing extensions.
If you need to make amendments, the software also helps with this, although you may need to download an update.

Is there a monthly charge for this netgear wireless router? Or does it just need an outlet and from there your off and running?

I currently have an WRT1900ACS Router, would the VELOP AC6600 system be able to connect with that or do I did to replace in order to use the mesh system?
I dont think so. this is a a totally different system. you cannot connect it to a totally different router.
