This was fairly easy to install onto the back of my dryer. The fact that it's rigid is good, but can make it a challenge if you have to bend it quite a bit. Otherwise, it's great!

If you purchase the LG - SteamDryer 7.4 Cu. Ft. 10-Cycle Electric Dryer with Steam, you will not need this. I purchased it when I bought the dryer just in case. However, there is a little tube in the pull out top corner drawer of the dryer that you just fill with tap water any time you want to use the steam cycle. Best Buy was great about accepting the return.

I've had this dryer (and the LG steam washer) for a month and love it. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I haven't owned it long enough to know if there are any issues. I researched washers and dryers for months before deciding on this one. It has everything I want. The steam cycle is fantastic to refresh pillows or bedding. The standard cycles offer great options, but I also like that I can manually set a dry cycle myself.
I have my washer and dryer stacked, so found out only once they were installed that the 6-foot power cord was too short to reach the dryer power outlet. I suggested doing your best to figure this out in advance and also determine whether you need a 3 or 4-prong power cord. The delivery guys brought a 3-prong one with them, so couldn't install it and had to come back another time. I could not find a 10-foot 4-prong power cord in any store (Best Buy, Lowe's, Home Depot, WalMart, Target, etc.). I had to order it online from Amazon, which further delayed the installation. If you're unsure, have both 3 and 4 prong on hand and return the one you don't use. Best Buy is great about accepting returns and I found Customer Service to be exceptional.
Hopefully, my review will help you avoid my fiasco. :-)

I've had this washer for a month and absolutely love it. I gave it 4 stars because I haven't had it long enough to say it may not have issues. I researched washers for months before deciding on this one and preferred a top-loader, but eventually decided on this one. I like the variety of cycles (esp the steam!) and the fact that it is easy to use. I wipe out the plastic lining after every wash and leave the door open for awhile so that mold does not build up. I'm doing the monthly load clean today, as recommended. I had some of my things in storage for 2 years, so as soon as I unpacked any clothing, bedding or decorative pillows, I threw them in the washer on the sanitize cycle. They came out refreshed and smelling great.
When you purchase it, be sure to purchase all of the extras you will need. I have my washer and dryer stacked and forgot to buy a stacking kit. When Best Buy delivered them, they could not stack them and the stacking kits were out of stock. I had to wait about 10 days to get one. Just be sure to purchase everything you need when you buy the washer to ensure a smooth installation.
Be sure to read the owner's manual. I think some of the issues others have posted have to do with not following how to use it and care for it.
So far, so good!

What is the diameter of the tube?
My dryer duct is oval shaped so I'll need to buy an adapter to go with this kit. But, first I need to know what is the diameter of the tube that comes with this kit.
It's 4 inches in diameter. I had to buy an adapter, but the vent hole in my laundry room was still too wide. I ended up taping up the adapter with duct tape. So far, it seems to be working okay.
