Nice features/performance, TERRIBLE power mgmt

This is a decent, inexpensive smart phone (often sells for $50 or so), but I'm rather disappointed with it. I bought this as a replacement for a damaged LG Power (LG L22C), because this was the most similar CDMA TracFone I could get on short notice. The L22C has VERY similar specs, but a slightly lower-capacity battery and Android 5 (ans 3G, but no 4G support). Despite the LG's smaller battery capacity, I could put it to sleep and it'd lose less than 5% of its battery capacity overnight. For my usage patterns, I could charge it once every 3-4 days and never risk running out of power. With the Galaxy Core Prime, it loses about 3% per hour while asleep (the only exception is when it's *fully* charged. It reads 100% for awhile before starting to drop at approximately 3% per hour). It doesn't matter if all of the radios (cell, Wi-Fi, BlueTooth) are all turned on or if the phone is left in airplane mode. If I go to sleep for 8 hours, it'll have lost 20% of its capacity by morning. If I don't charge this phone every day, it'll be out of juice before I get home from work on the second day.
I have few apps installed (fewer than I had on the LG Power), I've run cleaning tools, and I've checked Android's battery usage settings page, and I can't find an app to blame for this ridiculous power consumption.

Phone is unusable for those with some disabilities

A member of my family is unable to use a phone for any extended period of time while holding it next to her head. I haven't seen a cordless phone in the last 10 (or more) years that didn't have a headphone jack, so it didn't even occur to me to look into that feature before purchasing this phone set. I also have never seen a phone that didn't come with hardware to mount it on the wall. That problem is solvable (Uniden sells a wall mount piece), but the inability to use a headset with this phone is not solvable. If you're unable to hold a phone next to your ear for the duration of any phone call you might make, this phone is completely worthless to you.
Unfortunately, now this phone needs to be returned to the store because it lacks a simple feature that has been ubiquitous on phones for years.
What's great about it: From what others say, it performs well
What's not so great: No wall mount, no headphone jack
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great album, good songwriting

Susan Tedeschi has an incredible voice for blues, but until recently, her songwriting was lacking. Her covers were wonderful, but her self-penned tunes always seemed a bit repetitive. This album, however, demonstrates tremendous growth in her songwriting abilities, and is just an excellent album from beginning to end. That her husband, Derek Trucks, who is one of the best guitarists playing today, is featured on a number of tracks makes an excellent album even better. The impressive Doyle Bramhall II also appears on the album, adding another layer of bluesy guitar goodness.
What's great about it: excellent Blues, beautiful voice, features Derek Trucks on a bunch of tracks
What's not so great: cardboard packaging vs. standard jewel case
I would recommend this to a friend!
