Had to replace my surround; not a perfect replacement obvi, but this does the job and saves tons of space.
Just make sure to turn down the tv speaks all the way down so the Soundbar doesn't shut off!

Is there any way to mount it without having the speakers and lcd screen pointing at floor.
I'm fairly certain you're just installing the brackets improperly; there's no way LG would ever expect people to install the bar facing the floor.
