They do accept them on a trade in. Check the website or app for approximate trade in value. My wife had a series 2 Nike and upgraded to the 3. Honestly it’s a bit of a hassle but you’d get more selling it than trading it in. Series 2 last i saw went for around $105 or so on trade in.

Can you use the ps4 goggles for ps3 also
PS4 only. However any games that are not VR including any downloaded games look like you're playing them on a giant movie screen with the goggles on at a lower resolution than you see on a regular tv.
